IH-888-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo

@adam313 Phenomenal fade pics! It's not easy to capture the "natural" fading look - these look absolutely authentic. Even though i never saw the denim in person, these pics make me feel i have
-
I also copped a pair of these today. I figured after pestering Alex and Giles for over a year about making the 888 in plain XHS is was the right thing to do. The thing is when they came out I was on the verge of skid row. I can't wait to see my double chainstitch job. @spitfiredealer I finally got a pair hemmed to 33" so I can either go for stacks or maybe like a 1" cuff and a stack.

Nice Filthy. Look forward to seeing them on.

It's been a long time coming then! Congrats on finally getting yourself a pair @Filthy. Kinda thought you'd pull the trigger on another pair of XHSib's before any other denim

Thank you very much! I have a pair of 888xhsib in a size larger. The new ones are gonna be somewhat of an experimental pair. I plan on removing the patch and hot soaking them and a hot wash right out the gate. I was thinking about maybe trying to use a cement mixer with some boiling water to gently agitate the jeans for a few hours

its like science and shit

If I can get a Harbor Freight mixer for $120 (with coupons) it might happen. Or I might just weld a drill bit on to an old soup pot and use this ancient corded drill I have….
-
You bet. It would be cool to have a cheap cement mixer for washing jeans in. I am actually worried I am gonna break the washer when I wash my jeans in it. It sounds like a helicopter.
-
love that Simpsons clip!
Your cement mixer sounds like a brilliant idea. Down to see how this goes down & if you end up rigging something, def share please! Gotta go the extra mile for these heavyweights. I actually think my last NEW washer broke bc of all the denim bashing ???

Lookie what has arrived
I am soaking them on the stove on low heat until it is time for me to leave. I won't have time to remove the tag and run them through the washer like I wanted to.
I'll probably soak them a couple times this week and try to shrink them as much as possible. I could barely get them buttoned up… I almost had to lay down on the bed. So the waist should be just right after a while. The rest of them is super comfy and roomy
Also @Graham EXCELLENT JOB on the double chainstitch hem job it is perfect
-
Well I got about a half an inch of vertical shrinkage with my boiling soak. I'll let them dry and try again.
-
@Filthy hey we wear the same waist size! I want to see that 'double chainstitch hem job'! Sounds interesting.
…boiling jeans on the stove, like an old pioneer woman!
-
@vaquero357 did you know Little House on the Prarie is my favorite show ever? The double chainstitch they just go around twice so there's more cushion for the pushin'
-
SHRINK YOU BASTASRDS!
They put me in the handicapped room at this hotel (because I am obviously mentally handicapped lmao) because I wanted a king size room on the first floor and I had to get it changed because it didn't have a tub.
-
IDK how but I think I got the inseam to shrink a whole inch… I hot soaked them twice and the blew a hairdryer on them for a half an hour
They were a tad over 33 before the soaks and now I am here. Hopefully this is good enough.
