IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
Mine are officially out of hibernation. After temps being in the 80's earlier this week and dropping to a high in the low 60's yesterday and today, I jumped straight from my 14oz 666's to my 25oz 666's. It's a rather eye-opening experience.

Im amazed at some of the timing to wear ratios. Mine are just under 11 months old. Ive worn em more than not hiking, walking, camping, to wk, bar hopping, 4 resident moves and even slept in em a few times outa necessity. Still, these stubborn bastards show minimum wear. 1 wash/soak, 2 soaks and just finished their first machine wash (hand wash cycle) cause they were spouse "get the fük away from me" ripe.
They are soft and VERY comfortable tho and my "go-to" britches.

What up fellow 25ers!
It's been 4 yrs since I've been back on the forum, but also 4yrs since I've rocked any other jeans then the IH-666-XHS Devils. I thought I would post a couple snaps of these 3 bears - 4 yrs, 2 yrs, new. None have really been washed. Only a handful of antibac soap soaks for the oldest. My freshness secret is to hang them out, protected, a couple times a month on the coldest Minnesota frozen winter nights (-15 plus windchill)! Works incredibly.
Also, I need to get my new pair hemmed. I brought my new pair of 25oz Devils to BlackBlue, a denim specialist boutique in St Paul, MN. They have an incredible Union Special 43200G chainstitcher. Super cool store and the owner, Steve, was a big fan of the IH-666's and totally got it. However, he kindly (understandably) deferred his services, not want risk detuning the machine on these denim beasts for one alteration. So I got some long ass jeans all rolled up.
Any recommendations for OG chainstitching craftmanship on 25oz the USA? I believe I sent my previous pairs to somewhere out west (Seattle)?
Thanks peoples!

I've had my XHS for over a year but haven't had a chance to really break them in yet - until now. Wondering if anyone has an estimate for how long my hip/top block region will be suffering until these get softer. I've had 18oz and 22oz denim before, but this is something else. On top of that driving makes me feel like I'm losing the ability to ever have kids. Oh well, the pics in this thread keep me going.
