I've had my XHS for over a year but haven't had a chance to really break them in yet - until now. Wondering if anyone has an estimate for how long my hip/top block region will be suffering until these get softer. I've had 18oz and 22oz denim before, but this is something else. On top of that driving makes me feel like I'm losing the ability to ever have kids. Oh well, the pics in this thread keep me going.

Morning gang,
I'm plan to order a pair today but I'm torn between two sizes, tag sizes 30 and 31. The issue is not the waist but the thigh. For the thighs to fit perfectly they need to stretch to 11.25 at least. That seems a bit too much for a 10.8 thigh in the TagSize 30s. However, a 31-32 inch waist is perfect and the 30.7 inch waist on the Tag Sizemore 30s should get to that point and I don't want the 31.6 waist on the 31s to get beyond 33. These jeans are for the long haul and I want to make the right choice. It all comes down to the stretch, 10.8 inch thighs would be very tight so I need some veteran advice.
Thanks

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you do not want to even try for .5" thigh stretch. Especially not on the smaller tagsizes and not with the 25oz.
This denim will stretch but not as readily as the 21oz. You'd be suffering sausage thigh, early crotch blowouts and your 'nads getting squeezed (in a bad way) for two months before you saw much stretch and I still doubt you'll get them where you want them.
Get in touch with the IHUK crew and see if they can find W31 which comes up smaller in the waist.

I agree with @neph93 , don't count on any noticeable stretch in the thighs. The IHUK crew is ridiculously helpful, and there are always variances in measurements within a given tagged size. Just tell them what waist and thigh measurements you need and they'll measure the pairs they have in stock to find you the best fit.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I rewatched the "how to measure" video and realized I had been measuring the thigh incorrectly (I had gone 2" down from the crotch) and the IH-666 fit is much too small for my thighs (12 is what I need). IH-634 it is. Now my eye is on the 634S-21 which should be perfect. Now if only the hem were a little smaller on them.
