IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

I am torn between size 33 and 34. Accounting for one inch of shrinkage, it seems like 34 is the better option… or pick 33 and hope they stretch enough after a week or two of wear?
Have you measured the way we do?
And are you sure? The tag 34 measures 35.5 in the waist, and as per the webpage:
- Sanforized, but unwashed - expect approximately one inch shrinkage in the waist and inseam
- Other dimensions will shrink proportionately to the waist
- The waist will stretch out approximately one inch with wear
I would drop the boys a mail at shop@ironheart.co.uk for help

Car jack…. That the risk you take…
@neph93 hacks… he will explain you how it done
Or sell them start againCase closed…
Yes, case closed! That did the trick. Did use a clamp for about an Hour and now it does not hurt anymore. It is fucking comfortable on the waist. I was able to get roughly 2.5 cm extension, exactly where I want it. A thousand thanks to you @Kasi

^ I used a one-handed metal clamp, sprinkled water around the waistband and set the clamp in position inside the waist and started to apply pressure until it felt tight. Left it there for about 2 hours and it ended up where I wanted.
The thighs are still a bit tight, but that is manageable for me. My waist was literally hurting, especially when in sitting position. But now it is the most comfortable pair ever for me.

I'm now part of this thread and my XHS is there for a long haul. Just like how the 246-NIN is my all time favorite, this denim has become my go to favorite, Together with my 777 D, I do not need anything else.

Not to p*ss on your bonfire or anything, but I'm a bit worried for you when you hit the point where you want to wash them. Now you know the waist will get to where you want with some 'persuasion' I'd say get the soak out of the way. They should stretch back out and beyond pre-soak on the thighs and waist, and will mean you don't have issues with fade shift/length when you eventually get round to washing them. That is of course unless you're planning on keeping them dry forever

How does this work with the jack?
Here you go:

I’ve never had a problem with it, but some people have bust the top button, so deploy this method with care.

^ I will wear it for a week or two and then do the hot soak. On the thighs it is still biting, but the waist is heaven now. Can't ask for more! @Kasi You saved my day man!
For those that are looking for such a quick win, here is what I used:

You guys are crazy. Using a jack to stretch the waist, but hey, it works…
@the246guy I have a couple of those, actually the same from Hornbach. If I will ever be in need, I can help myself now. -
Day 4 - I'm experiencing a slight discomfort on the thighs, especially when getting in and out of my car. Probably the thighs need a bit of stretch, but I will leave that to the natural evolution. The waist is where it was after artificial stretch using the clamp. I love them.
-
Really pleased theyre working out for you the thighs should relent, and the fabric will soften and lose it's pinchiness
-
XHS is heavy duty denim you can expect some discomfort the first few weeks @the246guy
Also happy you’re enjoying them.
-
Should this be of a concern that the hem from the inside is kind of coming apart just after a week of wear?
-
Yes, I cuff them normal with a single fold as it can be seen in the image above. I do not have any problems with it, but I also do not want that it gets torn around that area thereby resulting the need for a new hemming. With my Ruttloff denim it took me almost 6 months for that to happen which is why I'm wondering.

Totally normal. This is much heavier, stiffer denim so cuffing will cause this quickly, especially without a soak.

@the246guy as the others have said, totally normal. Things that Ive found hammer cuffs are boots with speed hooks, not sure if thats applicable for you. The good news it its a fairly easy repair if you don't let it get to the stage where theyre hanging off, and IHUK being the legends that they are do free repairs, you cover the cost of shipping. Should be able to get a good while out of them before theyre in real need of repair
