IHDR-502-OLV - 11oz Cotton Whipcord Cargo Pants - Olive
-
Thanks for the comments folks. @acboston and @Cutlasshound I am generally a 36 waist in 555 jeans. The crew were kind enough to let me try a 36 and 38 in these. The 36 didn't come close, but the 38 are spot on to my preferred fit.
I like a slight sag in the to box for this type of pant, but because they taper so well they don't look like toddler pants
These are so well made. Being anal, I have inspected them inside and out. The cut, stitching, raw edges etc are so well finished. I have work pants in this material too, which are incredible, but these are next level.
@Graham thanks dude. I wasn't sure whether to send them back to get hemmed. Think I'll give them a couple of washes before deciding.
What's the concensus on cuffing these folks!?
-
I can see both view points. I'm firmly on the fence. My wife's view was hemming makes them look a bit more like smarter trousers with pockets, and cuffing looks more casual work wear. Kind of agree.
I guess my preferred asthaetic has always been the slightly scrappy look, but I think both work for these.

Original version. Still new, second day of work:

Is there any pics of someone who didn’t size down? I kinda think cargos should be on the baggy side
How warm are these? 11oz makes me think they are not winter but I have no experience with the whip cord

My photos just before Josh James are not sized down.
I also have the newer restock version and ordered a size down but only because I trusted the measurements. I asked for a larger waist in the next size down. I wanted the same fit as these and pretty much got it except the new pair is slightly more snug.
Turned out good. I wear the more relaxed pair to work in.

Just got mine and am so in love with this one. It's at once relaxed and slim; the cut is magic. Here it is with my favorite 246 NIN.
And I have to thank Graham for being so patient with me. The crew is awesome. Strange that I'd rather be shopping with the site than going to a physical store. Thanks again and looking forward to my next purchase.

New version:

…@daltmeyer only difference being the stock inseam length?
...loving the green look of summer...and no f*****g mask!
-
@vaquero357 I tried to get this newer version(38) to fit the same as my original version(size 40). To do so I trusted the new measurements in the waist and ordered a 38 and asked for a slightly bigger waist to match my size 40. I'm happy with the results but the newer pair are slightly more fitted all the way down. I like them both and wear the more relaxed(40) to work in.
The inseams on both pairs have been hemmed by IHUK at 33" like I do most all my pant to leave room for a bug cuff.

@Max:
I'm tempted but literally would need a size 35 as the 36 got pretty wide in the waist and 34 is too small.
There is no stretch on these. Really none. So the 36 would be the way to go. I wish I had done that first time round.
Hi Reuben, I got a 34 size with a 35.5" waist, I would need them to stretch close to 36.0". You don't think that is going to happen?
Thanks. -
I believe you could get half an inch of stretch, but I wouldn’t expect much more!

@rodalbird i agree with Adam. Are they on their way to you? The 888 rise sits high as well, I mention it in case you aren’t used to it.

@neph93 I have them with me (after an epic struggle Graham and I had to put up with DHL customs dept.). They fit great but for a mild discomfort on the waist when I am sitting down.
Thanks!
