IH-777-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Tapered Jeans - Indigo/Black

@yannis Yep, I'm 6'6" and I've got the majority of my 555 fits inseam cuffed to about 31.5-32 inches. Kind of like that "highwaters" look.

Its all good fellas. Enjoy your addictions

I mean, until there's iron heart flood pants I gotta do my best

Lol!!! There is lots of interesting denim coming down the pike. The 15.6 oz slubby looks amazing. The 19oz leftie is coming towards years end in all cuts. Its gonna be an interesting fall/ winter for sure. My list is getting longer and longer.
-
So getting the top button done after soaking was…"interesting", but the length turned out right where I wanted it. I'll post a couple more measurements later when the sweat on my brow dries. Hemmed to 31" and lost just over 0.5" in length, which allows me an approx 2" cuff which is typically my preference. Waist started at 34.8 and is now at around 34, maybe just a tick smaller (stiffness of the top block complicating my measurement). Leg opening just over 7.5" and I lost about 0.5 in the thigh. Overall the shrinkage is about what I expected, now I'll start the process of not having it feel like my legs are encased in cardboard

Looking good and all according to established parameters @Joberwocky . The waist will stretch out an inch after a week. You are on the path to XHS nirvana.
-
Thanks for the vote of confidence @neph93 ! I look forward to the gradual transformation
-
I'd say that's about what you are looking for right there @Joberwocky!! Give it some time but like @neph93 said, you're on your way!!!

This 100%
XHSib is amazing fabric!!! I'm loving my Indigo Invitational pair but yearn for my 25oz big time.

Wore them the rest of the day yesterday and am wearing today. Already stretched back a bit in the waste so buttoning since the first time has been exceptionally easier, considering the rigidity and thickness of the fabric. Significantly more comfortable then when I nearly tripped myself putting them on after the soak . The color of this fabric is nuts! Took me a minute to realize that the strange rub I felt I was getting from the right pocket was the 25oz of coin pocket causing a little stiffness. All in all, super thrilled with the fit, I'm glad I went with a warm soak off the bat to have a better understanding of what to expect from the fabric when washing. Kudos, friends

Killer fit my man. Awesome jeans, legendary fabric. You made a great choice. I know its 93 in MD today. Put them on and go for a jog
-
Oh, its for sure 25oz denim weather. The drive home from work in my AC-less 94 Jeep will be "wonderful"
-
Posting some update pics after 8 months of daily wear. Still just an initial soak.

Those knees abrasions must have been done playing with kids at home. Am I right?

@neph93 - Thanks man!
@spaniarddh - right you are! I have spent a good portion of the past 8 months kneeling and crawling around on my hands and knees playing with my now 20 month old daughter and my other “kid” (aka my dog). -

I've got a lot of work until my jeans are as good looking as yours, fit and fades are looking stellar! Is that a pigeon tree belt?
-
@Joberwocky I think the remarkable thing about this denim is that it looks equally great in all stages, just different kinds of great. Looking at how awesome your new pair is makes me miss that inky indigo/black newness. I don’t however miss the break-in period - the first couple days I honestly thought the back of my knees were going to bleed! Good eye on the belt - it is from Pigeon Tree. I got it around the same time I picked up these jeans.

@Joberwocky BTW I noticed your t-shirt - Go Birds! (I live in Philly)
