Well, the Packers shit the bed. Again ! Twice against the 49ers, this season, they dug themselves a first half hole they couldn't crawl out of. You can't do that against great teams, and hope to come back. This season has given me hope for the near future, though.
It ought to be a great Superbowl. I'm picking the Chiefs, though. As good as the 9ers defense is, they took losses to the Ravens and Seahawks, and nearly lost to the hawks a second time, in the season finale. Lamar Jackson, and Russell Wilson have given them fits. Neither of those guys have the arsenal Mahomes has, and he's just as dangerous, if not more so, than those two.

My wife and I have been rooting for the Chiefs all year. Thought for sure they were toast last week when the were down by 24. I was cursing out Andy Reid,and somehow the unthinkable happened. I was really impressed with what the Titans did to the Patriots and Ravens,and thought the Chiefs might be in trouble this week. They took the Titans best shot,and I felt like Mahomes,somehow, willed the team to win. Can Mahomes do what no one else has been able to do and get Andy Reid a title?

It's kind of sad to see the old guard of QBs go down the tubes so quickly. Aaron Rodgers missed some throws he didn't used to miss, Drew Brees' gimp thumb resulted in a game-changing lost fumble, Brady's stats are down and he hasn't thrown a TD in the postseason in several quarters. These ole gunslingers don't have many years left, and they are definitely losing their edge.
But I never like comparing who beat whom because I can just as easily point out that the Chiefs lost to a GB team that was thoroughly dismantled by these 9ers and to Tennessee (in the regular season), who similarly relies upon a bruising running game but has a much better defense.
And don't worry, Andy Reid still has time to botch the Chiefs' opportunity
I think the 9ers D may be dominant enough to win, but OTOH being able to score at will has shown to win over the possession offense by the Chiefs this year. Only way possession teams beat high-flying offenses is by getting a lead and bleeding the clock to limit the opportunities for the opponent to score. Tennessee couldn't manage it, but the 9ers may be able to because their D can steal possessions or even score.

Mahomes is a real wild card and Garoppolo was 2nd round pick by the Pats so I'm hoping it's an interesting game.
