IH-666-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo/Black
Our slim straight jean with a low/medium rise in our indigo/black XHS (extra heavy selvedge) 25oz denim. This ultra heavy denim is at the limit of what can be made and is not for the faint of heart. Super-stiff when new and requires some "breaking-in"- with time and wear it becomes soft, pliable and very comfy. Woven with an indigo warp (that will fade) and a reactive dyed black weft (that won't fade).
Sizes 29-35, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44

Set an alarm to buy these jeans the moment they went on sale. Can't wait to have a second pair of XHSib in my favorite cut.
-
They look awesome. Don’t know why but this denim in this cut seems especially tasty.
I agree 100%. It's finally cooling off so I'll be able to wear them right away. My winter 666 rotation is gonna be great.
-
25oz season is now. Received this afternoon. Going to shrink these down first thing in the morning. Between these and the 666-XHS I also just started today I’m in for a stiff couple weeks. These fit so much better than the 555 iteration I wore last winter and spring.

Taper is great for those with medium to short inseams (relative to height), but straight wins for those with a longer inseam every time. And yes, I am jealous [emoji1]
You're the master of the 888 though! How are your XHSibs coming along?
-
I have a very short inseam for my height. I'm 6', wide-ish in the body and have a 30" inseam. They are coming along, slowly but surely. They are not the jeans I reach for first as I find not everything I own works with the indigo/black. As you say though, 'tis the season to wear XHS so I§m planning on putting some wear on them.

@Palmer did you get some measurements pre/post wash by chance?

Lots of documented shrinkage on the IH-888-XHSib thread as well as the sample thread for the same jeans:
https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=11916.0
The data for standard XHS is also applicable as it is the same denim and behaves in the same way.

I just saw your question @Nskelton. Somehow I missed it earlier. I did take measurements, here you go.
Waist: 19.25 / 19
Front Rise: 12 / 11.8
Back Rise: 16 / 15.5
Thigh: 13.75 / 13.2
Knee: 10.1 / 9.9
Hem: 9.5 / 9.3
Inseam: 34.5 / 33.8This shrinkage came from a hot soak with plenty of hand agitation. I line dried the jeans.
Hope this helps. Sorry for the delayed response!

Cant wait to see a pair of these in the wild with some of those purplish fades going on.
Purplish–-not even sure if that's a word -
As long as you get my meaning , that's what counts
-
@Palmer thanks, those numbers look pretty good. I'd be a tag 38 as well. These would be my relaxed pair.

@Palmer How are these jeans looking for you these days?
