Dayum! That's soon!
Quick, what size does Giles wear? I'll buy the jacket one size bigger, reckon that'll do me well. Can't ponder whether I prefer the jacket with or without the hood, I'll be at work when this goes live so will just smash that buy button and expect awesomeness to arrive a few days later.

Oh, just realised it's past midnight in Sweden so I've got an extra day to get ready for the drop… I just had a panic moment, don't want to miss out on this!

Gotcha! XL’s mine!
Kinda feels like I’m the only one at a release party

Well done sir… technical gear still sells at a slower pace, but you can never rest if there are so few available. Alone or not, the important thing is that you got the job done.
Thanks Neph! Though I have to confess, I ended up sending the jacket back…
I received the jacket and it was everything I expected: rugged, practical, warm and just plain awesome! The upgrades to the original IHJ-39 are cut outs for lined handwarmer pockets on the outside, revised zipper pulls, rubber lining on the lower back on the inside and a slight change of the overlapping fabric around the zipper opening of the jacket (and of course, the lack of a hood). All things I appreciate in the continued evolution of a technical jacket (though I could do without the rubber lining on the inside), so overall this jacket is a winner.
However, when I received the IHJ-92 I decided to break out the IHJ-39 and wear it daily for a week. Turns out I can't fault the OG mountain parka, it's really good. It does all the practical bits I could ask of it, also I came to realise I liked having the hood for those moments the weather turned shite.
In the end, I sent the IHJ-92 back. Though I can imagine the '92 is a perfect counterpart to someone who has the N1 jacket and wishes to have a more durable/rugged counterpart for when the weather is miserable. The '92 delivers in that aspect.
I sometimes wish that the hood on my IHJ-39 was removable, but that isn't the case. Guess I'll just have to wear out my '39 until it's beyond repair and then go looking for a used '92 in the buy and sell section... I've owned the '39 since it's release and there are no wear marks, so it'll be a number of years before it's worn out... just like every other Iron Heart piece I use daily!
