Random Announcements

You can join at any point between now and next May dude, also we have some special things being made by our sponsors which people should look out for (especially these guys right here).
The reason for the early launch is 2 fold…
-
Through HWDC2 many people got in touch to say that they wish that they had more time to get money together for the jeans they wanted, this gives people time to get funds in place.
-
Sponsors making special things takes time, this gives them and the contestants the opportunity to get products ordered, made and delivered before the big kick off. Giles and I don't want any more early hours of the morning trips to Motorway Service stations to find cartons of denim kept in a convenience store stock room

I'll second that…

Great adventure….never want to do it again

That was a fun one to read about, but I can understand why none of the participants ever want to repeat it.

Great adventure….never want to do it again
It was tense watching it unfold. Particularly since my first pair of IH jeans were in the mix. It definitely added to the drama.

Que Pasa! Has anyone else checked out the site? I messed around on the site yesterday. I found it a bit tricky to edit your cart. Other than that it should be interesting. I don't expect much in my size, but you never know. I forewarned my wife.

DTWC – Denim Tux World Championship
Double the denim, double the fun. Save yourself thinking about what you want to wear every day for next 24 months by doubling your denim. DTWC entrants will compete for their own title as well as the DWC, think of it as competing in boxing AND mixed martial arts simultaneously.
WARNING: To enter the DTWC you MUST be committed to your denim. This is for the hardcore only and comes with its own set of hardcore rules.
You cannot rotate your jeans or jacket/ shirt with other denim. If you’re in then you’re in for the long haul.
If you don’t update, you’re gone. No complaints, no second chances. Updates are monthly, you miss more than one and you’re out. Your denim can be any weight to enter the DTWC, and the weights/ brands do not need to match, so long as it’s denim. All the rules you need dude, buy the Tux (wait, special things coming).
Wear for two years.
Update regularly.
No rotation. -
i love it!

Man, I'm going to have to save up to get a crisp new pair of something for the DWC…now, what will it be? Site and the contest looks great, Mega!! I'm really excited to announce that I got offered a job, today!! I'm going to start training to serve and bartend at a really nice little restaurant in downtown Asheville. I'm looking forward to working in the industry, again! Although I'm sure that novelty will wear off pretty quickly...
-
You can sign up to as many contests as you want to, but you do have to have an idea of which weight you want to wear before signing up.
-
If you're in the DTWC then your jeans will also be considered for whichever weight category they fall into. The DTWC is like a 2 for 1 offer with the drawback being that you can't rotate (if you consider that a drawback).
-
Can't rotate is more of a gentlemans agreement? ie I promise not to wear any other jeans? Just asking. Sorry for all the questions, I'm a little slow sometimes. I'm still on the fence about the DT, I'd like to, just not sure if I can wear that much denim combined with the fact I hate buying things without trying them on and the denim type jackets I have tried on tend to be too short in the sleeves.
Anyway, thanks for all the answers.

I heard there would be random inspections. With the funds raised, you will dedicatedly be traveling around the world ensuring all members are meeting their agreements. Kind of like random doping tests in Cycling. They have WADA, we have MEGA.

Registered for the DWC and BWC. It will be my first contest, let's see how it'll work out
