what dire situation do you speak of?
Probably this:
With all respect to @Filthy I think it will be ok.

For those of you that live in the the Southern US, I honestly don't know how you deal with extreme heat. My brother lives in Texas so when I brought this up to him he was telling me he just stays inside with the AC on. Seems like a miserable existence

Ding ding ding. You are correct.

Probably the opposite of living in the extreme north in the winter.

This is very interesting if you have the time to listen to it. Most interesting is the assertion that these UFOs were some kind of archeological discovery, like they have been here for a long time.

Even weirder, I also watched the full Bob Lazar interview on Rogan yesterday [emoji2936][emoji2935]. You might like Richard Dolan’s channel on YouTube if you’re into the UFO stuff [emoji2933]

This is amazing.
Also, @gaseousclay I'll have to check it out. I didn't care the documentary they made that Corbell guy made. It was like a constant barrage of schizophrenic imagery with very little information, and an hour and a half of padding. The Rogan podcast was way more informative.

@mikebarhoot my denim measuring experiment was pretty inconclusive. I don't think this micrometer is precise enough to get an accurate measurement. Actually the worn and washed denim was thinner than the pristine denim sample. So it is possible that the slip gear on the knob puts too much pressure on the denim and compresses the denim before it terminates to the next gear.
I tried taking an average of 10 measurements of washed 21/23 oz versus washed 25 oz XHS and there is only a difference of about 2 - 3 thousandths of an inch, the 25 oz being slightly thicker (obviously). I am going to see if it is possible to measure the thickness a different way or see if I can obtain some more precise measuring tools.

@Filthy what if; you placed the denim between 2 pieces of something like glass or metal say .25” for a total of .5” then measured subtracting the .5” giving you the denim measurement but compensating for the weave variance.
by weave variance, and giving thought and not knowing if the warp/weft line up or are offset.

I think the part that thickens up on the jeans is kind of fuzzy and soft so no matter what any kind of pressure will lead to a compression.

Americans, have yourself a relaxing, fun, and safe Fourth of July, and enjoy or endure the spectacle to come.

Cigs and barf. Sounds like the restaraunt industry

Thanks @scooter . The shop I'm in has the same problem with snow and ice, they call them snowdrops and if the operator isn't careful it can be interesting. It's a bucket charged furnace , may be different from Charter.

@Filthy this could potentially open up a can of worms and I'm not trying to do that but I would highly recommend you research the Sumerian Tablets and the Anunnaki if you haven't already. It's a complete rabbit hole you could end up going down but it is some fascinating information regardless of whether you take it as fact or fiction. Just some interesting info if you have an open mind (which I feel like you do). Many people write is off as nonsense but there are some hard to argue points that, if they are true, can flip everything we've been taught and led to believe completely upside down.

Lazar may have touched on these topics in the podcast but I haven't watched it yet so I'm not sure if he did.
