on the way to University of Law
I went there for my post-grad. They know what they're doing over there.
If the undergrad course is anything like the post-grad course, it will be intense.

@Kasi BPC eh? He wants to be making the mega-bucks. Good for him.
Pro-tip, a tax barrister we instructed once told me that the mega, mega money is made by King's Counsel barristers specialising in tax. They can apparently charge a few million £ for a note detailing how a large multinational corporation can arrange its corporate structure such that it practically avoids paying most taxes, and a morning's meeting with their CFO and accountants so that they know how to implement that arrangement. If it saves the multinational multi-millions in tax, then it would view the couple million spent on the barrister as a worthwhile investment.

@Kasi not my area of specialty I’m afraid. I understand from the legal press that it’s quite hard to make a living in criminal law for the first few years. Criminal barristers have been striking a lot in the last year or so, arguing that the rates they get paid for public work are so low that it is uneconomical to do it at all. I think the Government caved and increased the rates at the end of last year, but it might be worth looking into. If he’s still to do his undergrad then your son has plenty of time to see what areas of law interest him the most.

I hope IH uses Osaka and not Nagoya.
