Have usually detested distortion pedals that say heavy metal or metal zone on them. Usually gets you the buzzing bee sound but I have found the heavy metal 2 to be quite usable for that 80's metal sound.
I have a early Boss CE-2 made in Japan chorus with metal screw. Serial number 201. My Japan
find. Japanese denim and guitar pedals. What a combination. -
For you Giles
Den1mhead here you go :

pertinent to hm-2 chat
full disclosure: i love hm-2s. sound sick on bass (can get a massive bass boost out of them w/o the need to blend in clean signal for low end) and ripper on guitar. plus they don't have to be used for woodchipperxcore tones, ie. setting the distortion just above nothing and using it as a killer boost a la justin broadrick. but it's fucking fun as to dime the lot and grind

Sounding like entombed is nothing bad, the Wolverine Blues is pretty epic.
Right now we are just 2 guitarists and a drummer and we wanna play heavy music. That's it. -
I use a Maxon OD9 as a booster between my Les Paul and the JCM800, sounds über tight, but my friend plays a 120(?)Watt ENGL high gainer and the sounds are too different to sound well, that's why I need some extra distortion. My new setup will feck up him badly haha

This is surely the most incredible music video I have ever seen! Even if you don't like the music, the video is an amazing work of art!

Looks like he is the victim of the modern age haha -
I have killer seats to see him play with Lukas Nelson's band (two of Willie Nelson's sons in it) backing him at Red Rocks.

I heard parts of it today, sounds great. Red Rocks should be cool.
