@Daniel-San While I agree IH has better materials / stitching than RRL, some of their styling / materials are just fire - like their roughout leather sueded pants or type 3 western shirts in roughout and regular leather. Plus, their hand tooled line is just to die for...
I'll start. I have four -- 4 -- of the old pale riders. I don't really know why. Most of them I bought used on ebay / grailed. Now they're tuning in somewhat handy when I need to get them professionally cleaned, which takes a good four months to turn.
But, nobody knows - nor will they know!
Pictured, #1 after its cleaning in NJ, ready to ship back to me. They are able to keep the patina while getting rid of the scum - which is just where I like it.
@matt_rost I had purple slime on my chest pocket - something definitely that needed attention!
@Oaktavia I just look at Haraki's BB and wonder how he kept it so clean while attaining such a patina - perhaps he had it professionally cleaned at some point? Having my Pale Rider cleaned made it look much better - with patina / character, but not dirty looking.
I think there's a difference between a patina and being trashed, and I hope to stay on the former.
@Karol The new ones are different.
@matt_rost Mine is untreated, too, and is how I like it. I found a place in the US that cleans it without darkening it - somehow. It's an expensive endeavor, but they do a fabulous job.
@twin are your sleeve buttons tight, too?
@Oaktavia From the pale rider posts, the MP darkens it considerably. Not to my taste.
Back in for service, she is. The putty stain was just too much...
@Oaktavia It's a Papa Nui on Standard and Strange still -- searching "A-26 Cap - Veg Tan Shinki Horsehide" will get you there. There's still some L and M available.
The patina will be maddening lol.
