OR you pee in your boot and wear it till it dryes. If you have problem peeing in your own boots, ask a friend to do it. (or byu urea at pharmacy or where-ever you get in your neck of the woods)
urea has been used ages for softening leather... once your boot is wet, it'll stretch and mold to your feet.
Also riding a motorcycle in rain gives boots a nice soak, and using them while wet damp does the trick as well....

I’d much rather be comfortable from day one. I’ve found that jeans don’t stretch nowhere near as much if you size them properly from the beginning. And I always wear a belt so my waist typically doesn’t stretch much.
This is something I have preached over the years....

RE: Motorcycles
Lol, of course 1700cc is a handful.. most with proper comp are, even with less cc's. Most of my kicksart bikes start with 1st-2nd proper kick. Usually there are 3-6 preliminary kicks to get motor primed with fuel... my e-start bike doesn't usually start with first flick of the starter.

RE: When you suddenly feel old —
This pretty sums up my view about this subject.
I'm 60, still riding Choppers, messing with cars, gals (my wife ) and booze. Life will slow you down a bit but more active you are, happier and healthier you'll be. Don't ever stop. Train karate, go to gym, go to see gigs and dance like nobodys watching you, and most of all don't give a fuck.
That's actually almost the best part being in the last quarter of your life. Not giving a fuck. If you have done so in earlier life, after fifty you usually start not to.
I think the best part of getting old is to see that your kids get along in life and to see grandkids grow up. Small things make me happy. -
RE: Nuances and Idiosyncrasies of the English Language
I seriously enjoy this thread. And laughing to myself, as I consider myself pretty good in english which is my second language. I realize now how much I mix english english (taught in school) and american english, which I've learned watching movies, series and old rock'nroll, which makes me probably using quite old idoms or slang. But one thing I almost hate, when people say something is badass, when it's just nice car of bike or clothes you wear or something similar. To me, badass is somebody who can literally kick my ass. (those are few :-D) Please, carry on.

@injunjack sweet, we're going to be installing that setup on my buddy's shovel soon. i like the stance and proportions of that bike man
when adjusting the rear shock position, don't go too low, frame will scrape the pavement too easily. My forks are only 2" over of stock Sporty forks I think. Be prepared to cut the old swingarm in bits and pieces if it hasn't been taken off in decades, pain in the ass.
Also the thick 19 incher Shinko E270 does the trick. BTW this siu -80 FXS, Lowrider, so there is a bit more rake in the frame than in others, I've been told.
forgot to mention, Pike Bros Tee, IH 555-18s old version and Wesco Lou's.
