HWDC Challenges Round 7
HC-SF-92 Steelfeathers 21oz 2 soaks and 1 wash
Well i thought i had this beat, then I moved to cairns and 21oz won. These have hung in the wardrobe for most of the last year. Still plenty of life left, when I move on to a cooler place I am sure these will see the light.
Is there new challenges? I am blind but can't find them.

These jeans have been repaired and repaired.
Countless repairs to the stitching in the crutch, pockets, yoke, inseam and coin pockets. All the stitching repairs I have made myself with needle and thread.
Home repairs to the zip were made, then after complete failure safety pins go me through a concert, a new zip was installed.
Anders the owner of Steel Feather supplied the Zip. I made an unwise decision and got a local alternations shop to install it…
After the first time that was very poor Danny from Rivet and Hide sent them off to someone that had done Junior’s. It was a much better job but even still I have had to restitch some parts.
21oz denim don’t play nice with cotton thread.
I have pretty much thrown in the towel with HWDC 2, the climate in Far North Queensland (the G20 is in Cairns now) has me beat. Next round I am I am going lightweight as I have been donning on 16.5 oz when I get the chance.
My 21 oz steel feathers are cotton stitching and would of fallen apart by now if not for at least 10 repairs to stitching. The cotton in some places is just snapping from not being up to the task of thick denim. I understand people do cotton for the vintage feel but I am pretty sure 21 oz ain't vintage.
Can I ask why you have issues with stability? And is it just 18 oz?
Papa Coleman finding love in IH
Pick up myself an aero press what are peoples favourite brew techniques ?
Can't do coveralls, need to wear hi-vis shirts, I want to do jeans too. [emoji1]
Just found out my current cotton drill are 310 gsm around 9 oz. So maybe the triple work 634 15oz. Otherwise I will cook my self when it gets to 30 c
Wonder if you could give me some help on a pair of jeans. I want a pair for work and these are going to get smashed and may even catch on fire. I am a boilermaker/ welder/ fabricator depending where you live. My current steel feathers don't give me much movement maybe the weight and cut, but I need to be able to climb ladders, climb over things, kneel down and what other ridiculous position I need to make my self fit to get the job done, something my other jeans won't let me do easy. I currently wear normal cotton drill work pants. Cheers

Well as the closest thing we have right now to a house is a van and a tent, my home improvement is to fix a leaking clutch master cylinder. Anyone that doesn’t know what this is, it is connected to your clutch pedal. When you press it in it pumps fluid down a line and operates the clutch, your brakes work pretty much the same way.
Ours was leaking so when you had it pushed in fluid would leak out and the clutch would let go and the van would start to move, I could drive around it but there were some stressful moments. Time to fix.
get in there get the old one out and new in
