IH-634S - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Welcome Dentman, thanks for your question, its totally valid.
You should check the dimensions of the Beatle Buster and 666 cuts. Each cut has several variants (including one option with "unsanforized" or RAW denim which will shrink when wet and alter the pre-wash measurements on the website by about 3% roughly), so crunch the numbers in the measurements table to find the numbers you need/want. One of these two cuts should fit you better from the thigh down than the 634S. Ask any questions you have before you buy.

Hi guys,
I really like the look of the 634s but I'm a bit worried about the thigh width. My size would probably be a waist 36" but the thigh measurement on these states a huge 13.5"! I have some jeans with a thigh measurement a bit less than that and they have always felt really baggy on me. It's a bit strange, because all the pictures I've seen show great looking straight cut.
These would easily be the most expensive jeans I have ever owned, so just wanted some input before I place an order.
Many thanks
The thigh on the 634S is not massive. Have you checked how we measure, which is the way the Japanese jeans companies measure, as this is a true measure of the thigh measurement.

I need to get some new jeans. I keep going back and forth between these, the SEXFHXRJB15s, and the 634S-RAW. Someone please convince me that these would be the best option considering I thought my busters were tight and the fh/rjb's have a smaller thigh…...

Yeah that's what I was thinking….I actually liked the fit on a size 31 so a 30 should be perfect. Just need someone to grab my ROYs until I can pull the trigger.

ROY has a really shitty resale appeal for some reason. (Unless you're a size 33+) When I was still buying jeans three sizes too small–thanks, sufu--I'd have to let go near-new pairs of ROYs for between $150-175. And, unfortunately for you, it seems as though the 04 is going to be his go-to denim, meaning you'll likely see restocks.
Unless you absolutely need the money, I 'd recommend being patient and waiting until you're happy with an offer.

Many thanks for the reply and info. Having looked at how the thigh width is measured, the 634s do compare to a couple of pairs I already have so they are probably not quite as baggy as I first thought. Before go ahead with an order though, could I ask about the fit around the front pocket area, only I don't see any measurements for this. They look pretty tight in the photos I've seen, can you get your hands in them ok? How comfortable are they to sit down in?
Thanks again.

Thanks for the info. Had a good look at the 634V but leather patch and the many pockets would be overkill for me - I don't tend to carry a knife or tools as such. All I usually carry is a wallet in the rear right pocket, loose change in the front left and an iphone in the front right pocket.
I still like the look of the 634s but I'm trying to get a handle on just how tight the front pockets are. If they were so small and tight that I couldn't get my hands in to pull my phone out, before it stopped ringing, then it really would be deal breaker. As much as I like the look of them, I would be wearing them all day so they have to be functional. Any advice much appreciated.

My pockets are wonderful. They were a bit tight at first, but they're great now!
Exactly, no problems with the pockets!!! Beautiful Jeans.
