Liked my other thorogoods so much I decided to give these a try.  Thorogood for Steven Allan.  Not the best pair of boots ever made but super comfy and will be a great pair of everyday shitkickers.  Made in the USA and the
Price is nice.  No complaints here.

Been wearing these for a couple days and I am really digging them.  They have the standard Thorogood foam footbed cushion and removable insole which makes them very comfortable for all day wear and being pretty active in them.  They certainly aren't a work of art like a pair of White's or Tricker's but they have the classic Thorogood 685 work boot look and overall seem to be fairly rugged.  I think these will see a ton of wear.    The real surprise here was the Vibram Gumlite sole.  I'd never tried one out before and I really dig it….great cushion but with a lug design that's very utilitarian and I'm totally sold on it.  I think I found what I want to resole my iron rangers with.

The speedhooks could be seen as a blessing or a curse depending on your taste....i'm pretty back and forth on it.

Overall these get a thumbs up.  I recommend them to anyone who wants a good everyday boot that will be a little easier on your knees and ankles that is made in the states.

Would I try and wear em soft around the ankles or try a smaller size?  Size is either right or 1/2 size big now.

Do they make an all-black or mostly-black with a vibram wedge (or max wear) sole?  Thinking of getting Dad a pair for his birthday.  Might try and find those colabs with Steven Allen though too, they look pretty sweet riff
