HWDC Event 1 - Gosport Chain Stitch Massacre

Guys,
Apologies if you have not been responded to about sizing changes/ questions but I am sure you can appreciate just how busy the last 24 hours have been and continue to be.
The reality is this, due to the well documented problems with this run of 25oz denim we were only able to make the pairs which were originally ordered, even achieving that was done at great personal financial cost to both Haraki and Giles, and no small amount of stress and headache.
Therefore, if you want to change from the size which you originally ordered there is a fair chance that we will not be able to accommodate that request with this batch, unless we can swap you with someone else who wants to exchange. We are looking at alternatives for what we can do to help, but I ask you to be absolutely 100% sure before asking for a sizing change, we are talking about a difference of no more than an inch between any measurement in any size, so I would suggest that unless you need to change by two sizes or more please recheck the measurements and be sure.
You help, understanding and patience is very much appreciated.

I understand that 100%, in my original reply to Paula, I let her know that either the original 31, or a 32 would be fine for my order, whatever would be most helpful to everyone there at Gosport. She wrote back informing me that if I took a t 32, it would be very helpful, and asked me to promptly respond to verify. So I did, and also posted here, since with the time difference, I'd received her email a bit late, and responded a few hours later than I'd have liked. I figured I'd post here as well since I wanted to make sure the communication was received.
Basically I'm good with either size, with long-ass inseams!
Thanks, I hope I didn't cause any troubles.

Wow, the last 6-7 pages of reading have been frigging amazing!!! It was like reading a Stephen King novel and I could hardly handle the suspense. I can't wait for these jeans and HUGE thanks to all you crazy people for making/hemming them. My pair is already leading a more interesting life than I do!
-
^remember that also the combs and everything will need a bit of denim, so there could be even more than 0.5" that you might need!
I stretched my 634s' while measuring to make sure I got the actual inseam length - so the combs and creases have been taken into consideration

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us today, and to all you guys who have followed our adventures, and bought the MBB's. A special thank you to G+P for hosting this event, and to Simon and Junior for their expertise with the Union Special.
I have had a fantastic day, met some great people, and really enjoyed meeting up with old friends like Matt (Patch), Ruedi (Swissjeansfreak) and Danny (R+H). Great people make for great times, and all you guys are the best.
Tommy has had such a special time, and thanks Graeme for his Easter Egg, and Ruedi for his Swiss chocolate. I'm off to sleep now, hanging around motorway service stations in the early hours really takes its toll on me.
-
Extra special thanks go to Sergio from Starbucks at the St Mimms services for hiding the MBB's in the WH Smiths stockroom. We wouldn't have made it without him.
-
Thanks to G&P Gav & Pam & everyone else for organising such a great meet up.
Gav measuring the first pair out of the box - Bagley, your MBB's have that dubious honour!
Cutting the first pair; 25" inseam that's right isn't it?
Sorry this one is out of focus. I think you get the idea, Pam, Rudi, MBB's & pliers :-\
Junior working whilst the rest of us watch.
The three boys; Cam, Rowan & Tommy where all golden, really good lads all day.
Evening meal at the local Marina restaurant. -
@SimonQ.:
man, what do you guys chose for hemming? iam super satisfied with 35inches on the chinos (IH-816) but the standard 36inches on the BBOD are too long. Any suggestions? Something which comes up at 35-35.5inches after washing and settling?
mine have not been hemmed .[
36 inches?
