IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Thanks for all the helpfull comments people (takk skal du ha hajduk ;)). My 21" BB was not snug at the beginning and now they are loose enough to skateboard comfortably in (provided the temperature is 5 celcius as it is here in Norway at the moment). So I'll think the 31" is the way to go.
Off course, now I face the dillemma of how much hemming. To cuff or not to cuff, that is the question. But I have to figure out that for myself.
-
Yeah, I forgot that they will need some length to settle. I was thinking about getting them hemmed at 31" inches, assuming that 30 - 30,5 would be perfect after a wash (the inseam shrinks about 0,5 -1" after a wash, right?). So I should at least go for a 32" inseam? I'm not a big fan of big cuffs.
-
31" may be a little short. I'd go 32" if you want to end up at 30.0-30.5".
The typical guidance for hemming new jeans is to go about 1.5" longer than the desired final length. That 1.5" gives you enough length for some shrink and for combs/whiskers to gather.
That said, I don't know exactly how this 25 oz denim will shrink over time.

I had them hemmed to 33" - had them shortened again 0.5" after a couple of months… Am about a 31.5" so now I can still do a double cuff/ small roll or a standard, single 1" cuff...
So yeah now that I do the math, they didn't shrink much and they didn't take much length to settle in my case... But of course: best stay on the safe side and go a bit longer... Wear for a couple of months, wash 'm once or twice, then hem again if necessary...
Oh: and I'm 1.75 m/ 5.75'...

I just ordered the 31" with 32" hemming. And then I went to this forum and saw the last replies. I'm the same height as Seul so I'm thinking about asking IH to hem an inch extra. But I went and measured my Nudies Grim Tim which has my favorite inseam length (should have done this before, I know). They measured 30" and I wear them with an inch of single cuff. Guess I have really short legs. So I'm sticking with a 32" inseam.
Nevertheless, thanks for all the advice everyone. You all are nice and helpful people. Can't wait for the jeans to arrive.
My girlfriend, a clinical psychologist, is now rolling her eyes and probably silently diagnosing me after I told her I just ordered a pair of 500$ jeans. But she keeps on saying "It's your money, honey" so we're all right.

One thing that some people often forget, when the jeans stretch in the waist, you often end up wearing them a bit lower than where they started (at least I do ) and this lower "wearing point" adds to the inseam. So the reduction of creases is in my case often (or always) negligible.
And yes I do wear a belt most of the time. Still, just my experience -
You'll be fine with the 32" if you don't wanna hem, no worries!.. Remember: mine are 32.5 and I can still cuff so… I'd go right ahead and measure them but I'm useless with a measuring tape so it'd be inaccurate...
Either way: congrats with your purchase... You'll hate 'm at first, love/ hate 'm after a week, and love 'm after a couple of months, to the point where people think you're masturbating in public just cause you're frantically touching and caressing your denim...

Yeah, I've been reading this entire thread, and I'm awiting the 666 with equal parts of joy and fear, with a little bit of awe somewhere in there as well.

I've had my 25oz 666's for a few months now and I'm not a fan of what these jeans do beneath the knee. I think because of the thickness of the denim, the way they often settle is just a bit too baggy there. Is there anything that can be done about that? Is it possible to alter the jeans by giving them a slight taper below the knee? Seems like a specialty job due to the 25oz denim. I live in LA but I dont think self edge will do that type of work. Any thoughts here? I had them hemmed so that I need to cuff them about an inch but I never wear them like that as it really exaggerates this problem - I look at them like i'm wearing bell bottoms. Uncuffing makes it look a little better, but not great.
Also, i'm a size 38. I think the problem is more pronounced with the bigger sizes. I've gone through this whole thread looking at fit pics and I notice the effect on the fit pics with the bigger sizes. The slimmer-waisted jeans dont seem to do this as much.

Now just waiting for the UPS truck to stop by my girlfriends is enraged because I bought denim lol.. Hopefully they'll fit well.. went with the original inseam because I like to wear my jeans with a single cuff and stacks of pancakes lol
Nice! Wait till you feel the quality and heaviness of these jeans. Addiction to IH follows

There are places in LA that will taper 25 oz. denim. Denim Doctor (?) and I think Schaeffer Garment Hotel as well.
