Giles Chases GT's (well actually his dream)….

No crisis; what happens in the Maldives, stays in the Maldives.

Also, @Madame Buttonfly this must be one of the most relaxing places on earth. My experience of a mid-market island resort was that the quality of food and drink was excellent, and the service was almost embarrassingly good. Enjoy yourself
Thanks @neph93 it really is ideal for us - once emails/forum etc. are checked we will spend most of our days in or under the water! As you say, although one of the most reasonably priced resorts in the Maldives, the food is excellent, the staff mega-friendly, service embarrassingly good (without being obsequious) and the facilities superb - big dive centre, several restaurants and bars including a big main bar with a themed event most nights (sadly, Giles and I have never made it there in the evening!) And no dress code (when out of the water, Giles will wear IH shorts, IH t-shirt and bare feet the entire stay). So to say I'm looking forward to joining him next week is a massive understatement!

I spoke to a very excited and exhilarated Giles and Ben this afternoon after their 2nd day of fishing - I think it's fair to say they're both having a brilliant time…

Today I started off with a Shark….
Not what I was after, but a good work out…..
I am called Papa by the crew, as I am the oldest on the boat.
By 09:00 this morning each of the other 3 anglers had had GT's. The pressure was on the Papa, and boy did the crew let me know it. Then I had a good hit and the crew were as relieved as I was....
Not the biggest we have boated thus far, but I am a GT virgin no longer.
