IHSH-33-IND - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo
-
Spent the day snowboarding in The Alps in mine today. Too warm for a jacket so I popped back to the apartment and swapped it for the 33.
The forecast for the rest of my stay is wall to wall sunshine so I think it'll be on my back every day. -
Seems like the fit of an XL should be pretty similar to my IHSH-13ind in XL. Is there any chance there's an XL with any slight variation in the waist measurement? I could use a little extra room if possible. And also, would I be correct to assume that cold washes will keep it from shrinking?

Thanks @twin for letting me take this studio shot of you wearing the IHSH-33 when you visited us this week. Too good an opportunity to miss.

Hey guys,
I got this one as my first ever denim shirt (and first IH item). Loving it so far. I have a question about the shrinkage - I have read this entire thread and countless others so I'm well aware of the slight (around half an inch) expected shrinkage and all that. Nevertheless, I wanted to double check with you guys on what you would recommend to minimize said shrinking, as my Medium fits well and tight now. I saw a few hints at washing in cold water as a way to do that, would that be correct or the shrinking is happening to the same extent no matter what so I should just get on with it?
I've worn it a few times now and I'm concerned about potential smell. Thanks, I apologize for yet another shrinking question, but there were only a few instances of people cutting it really close with the unwashed fit.

Machine wash at 30C on low rpm (800) and you'll be fine. Hand washing is good too, just make sure the water isn't too warm.

Thanks both (and good seeing you here @den1mhead )
I could wash on cold if that helps, after all the shirt has seen just light wear. Machine and hand washing are also both available.

I handwash mine in the bath with warm water. I agitate it a fair amount, but don't exactly ball or scrunch it.
It's only ever shrunk the tiniest amount. -
Whenever the collar looks mucky. I'm not really one to keep track, but at a guess I've washed it about a dozen times in the 20 months or so since I bought it.
