Is that the one I sold you? If so, I boiled it in the bath when I bought it and did get a bit o ye olde shrinkage….....
I need a 76 [emoji848]
Ah, yes it is. I stand corrected. I got my hands on the the 76 from the last batch. It just felt wrong not to own one. A-mazing shirt.

the questions we all must face everytime something new comes out…

What's happenin' gentleman?! New member here based out of Texas. I finally pulled the trigger on a 76 and am very stoked. I'm a little nervous about the sizing though. I typically wear a large in most all other tops and jackets, but according to the measurement guide I look to be an XL. So that is what I went for. I'm 5'9" 170 lbs, and wear a 32 jean. I'm hoping the bottom opening isn't a little over sized for me. Will post some pics when I get this beast in!

Yeah, your best bet it to just forget about any prior notion you had about sizing and always measure. I wear anything from xl to xxxl in IH (my 76 is xxxl). It's part of the fun. Speaking of the bottom opening, mine is larger that I would prefer, but it's perfect up top. Sometimes they come out like that. In any case, I'm sure you'll love it. It's a great piece.

XL sounds about right. I'm a little taller (6'0") and a little heavier (185 lbs) and I usually wear an XL or XXL in IH button downs.
What part of Texas?

Thanks guys for the insight. I'm in Texarkana, which is the very North East corner. I'm about 2.5 hours North East of DFW.

Haven't been to Texarkana in years. I'm in Houston…

My first one which is posted in this thread is a xl. Nice and roomy work jacket. I'm 510 160-ish, also have a medium that fits like a shirt. You should be fine with the XL.

Well I just had a load of bad news dumped on me. Self Edge just sent me an e-mail explaining how their inventory wasn't correct. So long story short we cancelled the transaction and a refund was issued.
Edit: I just managed to get one off of Iron Heart's site. Hopefully their stock is accurate!

I've never known it not to be.
As far as sizing goes, I wear XL in IH shirts and I'm 6' and about 200lbs. I use an XXL in this shirt. But here's the trick; it all depends how you plan to wear this. It is a "shacket" so it works well sized up, over layers. I wear my XXL like a shirt. I can get a thin tee under it but that is all.
As for the opening, I wouldn't worry. The shirt is cut and sewn beautifully. There is a slight flare in the opening but it's fitted across the shoulders, chest and in the waist. Finally, when you get it, remember it's 17oz denim. If the fit seems funky it'll soften and drape with wear.
All in all, a fantastic shirt [emoji1434]

Ditto. I think it is my most flattering IH "shirt" that I have… It almost looks tailored, on me. I can't wait to pull it out of the closet soon

This shirt will be primarily a jacket for me. I live in TX so our winters here aren't that harsh. Pretty much my wardrobe stays the same year round for me, I just add a jacket in the colder months. Standard for me is a thin button down, denim or flannel, with a jacket on top.
I think this will work out nicely. Looking forward to getting this beast broke in. To be noted, I am also a heavy denim virgin. I have tons of light weight denim shirts, Levi's and RRL, but this is the first extreme quality heavy denim piece for me.
Oh and thank you Gile's and Matt for taking care of me. Customer service and communication have been great here.

Question to the owners of this beast: is it too warm/heavy as a middle layer?
Depends on the climate and what you put over it. Mine is quite fitted. I can get it over a tee and under my N1 no problem. It's already down to 3C where I live so I'll be using it like that for sure.
