IHJ-54 - Brown Chrome Tanned Japanese Horsehide Riders Jacket With Collar

Sleeves and shoulders are perfect. The length - I can see what you mean and also dislike too short jackets, but wouldn't think that the jacket looks too short when I saw it on the street.
-
I actually think it looks slightly large across the chest and shoulders, but fit is a very personal thing, and it's also hard to really see the fit until it's broken in a bit and settled around your shape. Regardless it's a beautiful jacket and I know the quandary you're in having gone down a similar path with the black version of this (although ultimately I chose to go the semi custom route with Simmons Bilt to get what worked for me)
-
That's a good fit and it will get better as it moulds to your body shape, it's a keeper IMHO.
-
Fit looks perfect! Once it softens, it will drape better.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I appreciate all the kind words. Definitely keeping this bad boy, I am taking the plunge and wearing it out and about thus rendering it unreturnable. I am excited to break it in!
Sorry about the weird angle, sometimes difficult to get a good one here in the office.
Here are are a few more from a higher angle:

Fit looks great, you bought an incredible jacket. Now beat it up!

Its a ridiculous piece. In all honesty, probably the finest jacket I've ever owned.
For the last few years I have been looking for a jacket that could be my one go to leather outwear. Something that could stand the test of time (both physically and esthetically) and perhaps even get passed down to my son one day. Besides the obvious IH quality of materials and craftsmanship of assembly, the longevity of the piece helped me to justify the $1600USD price tag.
This thing has it all, and I am so happy the fit worked out and I am so excited to see the evolution of this thing as it breaks in. Its crazy cause I was reading online about caring for horsehide and some folks out there are doing INSANE things to amazing jackets to get a "broken" in look. For instance, one guy suggested soaking his leather in rain water and then wearing it for as long as possible as it dried to achieve an instant broken in look. I can get behind soaking denim (obviously), but leather!? Why not just wear the shit out of it? Anyways, I digress.
My initial impressions are this thing is built as most IH pieces are, like a friggin' tank! It feels fitted, but not too tight. I have been wearing it all day at my office and while I can definitely tell I am wearing it, I haven't noticed any hindrance in my body movement. There is a stiffness to the jacket, but I would put it on par with a fresh pair of 25oz denim; noticeable but not uncomfortable.
I have already gotten several compliments on the look of the leather. It is quite shiny and glistening at first. However, much like its black predecessor, I anticipate this will fade with wear.
I personally appreciate both interior pockets and the added hand warmer pockets. For me this allows me to throw in my phone/keys/pens/etc with no issues.
I think the only issue I have (and its quite minor) is the side and sleeve zips. While I don't foresee myself messing with them too much, they are not as smooth as the main zip and don't feel quite as sturdy. That being said, I very much appreciate the main zip being on the RH side as my deck jacket still can catch me off guard with the zip being on the LH side.
All in all this thing is sweet. It has a high price tag, but I have not quibbles about any of that given its quality and spec. Thanks G & H and the stubborn crew for making such an amazing piece!

@Dstauffer it looks like I'm a little late to this party and I honestly don't know the first thing about leather jackets but the fit looks perfect. Jacket looks great on you. Just my two cents.
I hope to one day purchase a nice piece like this and this style has caught my eye more than any other one I've seen so far.
