Random Rants

I've mostly learned to accept my wife's indifference to ever showing up for anything less than fifteen minutes late. Every once in a while, like when she's an hour late and it completely fucks up my plans, however, it pisses me off.

We've created lots of shiny new SmugMug galleries in the 'Iron Heart Events' folder with pictures of our travels so that you can all feel very jealous of how ruddy fantastic our lives are

You haven't learned to lie about arrival times?
We've been together sixteen years. Of course I've learned to lie about time.
I needed to leave by 6:25, so I asked her to be home by 6:00. She showed up at 7:30.

I own a Google / LG Nexus 5X.
The first handset lasted about two or three months before suffering a hardware failure.
The second handset failed in the same way last week in Sydney, after about twelve months.
Fortunately it's still under warranty, and handset three is arriving later this week.
Anyone want to guess how long it will last?
-
0 cause you're gonna replace it?
-
Length of warranty plus one week…

This rant will only resonate with English people, unless you want to Google the following two words"Skegness" and "Butlins ".
Next weekend I have to spend three nights at Butlins in Skegness for a kids football tournament. Not only is the place hell on earth, they charge £150 a night to be put up in a tiny room with a plastic mattress, metal bed frame and conditions more akin to a POW camp than a holiday park.

Actually not….. it's where Mansfield goes on holiday (hence the rant) ???

Put it this way, I'll be wearing my Vibergs as slippers to avoid stepping on syringes and broken glass

You're thinking of Gosport, still I understand the confusion

fighting with UPS because I signed a waiver to release a package without anyone being home but they delivered it to the wrong address.
Should be pretty straight forward to deal with, but UPS's logic is I signed a signature release so the item being delivered to the wrong address is of little consequence
It's cool though, UPS has no idea who they are f^cking with
