Yeah, you gotta pay to get CBS Direct, I think it's called. We're doing it, but I'm ambivalent about it. Discovery is pretty good, though. Better than I expected.

I’m just migrating towards pay services and dropping my cable Tv package lower and lower. Gonna buy hbo through amazon prime. Netflix through Apple TV and then just have basic. And a jail broken fire stick.

I loved the earlier series. Starting the new one tomorrow. Having established that the wife doesn't want to watch it, it'll be my daytime show while the baby is sleeping and she's at work (apparently this is "laundry-time" but that's some weird viking concept and it doesn't apply to me, I'm sure).

He certainly is, if this season keeps up it's current quality it surpass my love for Seinfeld.

I'm not super wowed by the latest season of Curb, but since season 6, I always feel underwhelmed at first but then love them as I revisit them. I don't think it will ever top Seinfeld for me, but Curb is as close as it gets. Not many people can produce a consistent and relevant show over the course of 17 years.
Any of you (UK people especially) ever watch that old show Keeping Up Appearances?

^ It’s really great tv. I like that David Simon’s fingerprints are all over it. The Wire pops up all over, from the casting they use to some of the same storytelling techniques. And there was a concrete reference in ep.7 (property registry conversation) that made me giggle. At the same time it’s a unique show. Really immersive.
