Sorry for the radio silence, been rather busy lately.
Here's an update from the holidays.
Went to trivia last Tuesday, did very poorly but had a fun time anyways.
Had a crazy Wednesday, had an hour long phone interview (which lead to an in person interview coming up this week ) then worked a long day and then drove to Conroe that night. Of course that means I stopped at Buc-ees again. Grabbed a Red Bull and some candy for the road.
Next morning (Thanksgiving day) started with some coffee.
Then headed to my girlfriend's grandparents house for a family get together. Quick shot of the jeans with my Roy shirt.
The weather was beautiful, only about 65 degrees out which is cool for us.
Ate way too much food of course. Rightfully living up to this world tour's namesake.
I think they had like 8 pies in total? A bit overkill, but I dove head first into the pecan pie.
That night we went back to my girlfriend's mom's place and played some games and drank a Poterie from last year.
We also had a visitor who decided to steal some cat food. ???
The next day we drove down towards Houston and grabbed a coffee, solid cortado.
For lunch we went to Burger Fresh, which is apparently known across the state for having some of the best burgers around. I got their award burger which had guacamole, pepper jack cheese, grilled peppers, bacon, etc. on a jalapeño sourdough bun. Very tasty, I'll be going back I'm sure.
A little cross-section to give you the full effect.
Fast forward to last night, back in Austin we grabbed some tex-mex right down the road and then decorated for the holidays.
That's all for now! -
How did I live in Houston for so long and not know about Burger Fresh? Dammit!

It’s funny you mention that, my girlfriend and I have been together for almost 6 years now and we go visit her mom every few months and she had never taken me before. I feel like I’ve been robbed.

Took Olive for a walk the other evening, this is her face after asking if she wanted to go on a walk.
Current fit, creases are settling nicely.
Close up with the Kanreki.
Olive really like the jeans too.
Have a fun weekend planned, going to a holiday market and a brewery nearby is celebrating their one year anniversary. I'll try and take plenty of photos! Might see if I can make it out to Jester King too. -
Alright guys, here's my update from the last few days.
Started the weekend off with some pizza and beer from Pinthouse. They do special pizzas every month and December is their mac and cheese pizza. Sounds weird, works surprisingly well especially when you add pepperoni.
Went to a holiday market, grabbed some kiwi jam which is delicious.
Next we went and checked out Dee Dee, a food truck specializing in northern Thai food. Pretty amazing, very spicy which is ideal for me. Reminded me of living back in Asia.
Thai tea.
Pad kapow.
Laarb moo.
After Dee Dee we went to Buzzmill to grab a coffee and beer, enjoying the overly warm weather.
Sunday was very foggy, kind of eerie looking but it cleared out later on.
That evening we went to St. Elmo brewing for their one year anniversary party. Quite the turnout, they had a ton of beer on tap and some bluegrass music.
Tracked down some Hops & Grain Lupulin Rodeo, tasty IPA.
And finally I got my car back! It had been in the body shop for almost a month after someone sideswiped me. They had to replace the back drivers side door and had some issues getting the right weather strip. Luckily the other person took full liability and their insurance covered everything. Glad to be out of the rental.
And that's about all for me now, I'm going to try to take some photos of the jeans before sending them off. Thanks for tuning in.
