IH-777S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Slim Tapered Jeans - Indigo

Thanks guys. I think I just gotta get used to the low rise and hopefully not crush my balls in the meantime.
Your will always be intact in a 21oz denim

I ended up buying the 777S-21s I wore in the video above… partly because I stretched them out and partly because I couldn't be bothered to strip on the beach for a second time that day.
I also felt like a terrible Iron Heart fan since until this pair I've never actually owned any 21oz. Now that's fixed!Loving it too!
-
the 21oz is straight up IH OG classic genius.

@Sam:
Thanks @neph93 They're super comfortable already. How have you treated yours? Kept them away from water or washed them freely?
I leave washing until there is a permeable odour (how long that it is rather depends), at the first sign of dat smell I wash them, and after that wash freely. It's the best compromise imho. Lovely worn jeans but no one needs stinky clothes.

So I just picked up a pair (;D) of these and not sure if I can/should size down.
I got a size 31 and first wear was snug, but not super tight. After about 3 days of wear (literally lying on the couch doing nothing) they've gotten pretty easy to get into, borderline feeling roomy. Internally debating if I could get a 30 and with the daily cycling I do whether they'd stretch out enough.
Waist is not so much of my concern as is thigh/hip. Sounds like the 21oz stretches where it needs to but curious what people's experience is with thigh/hip areas widening out. Thanks!
-
^ A legitimate risk, I've got plenty of spare 21oz for repairs at least haha.
My thinking was that given they've already stretched out a lot after very little stress, a size down would stretch out reasonably after a month or so with real life wear vs holiday sloth mode. I'd prefer the slimmer silhouette if I can.
I measured waist & thigh of my size 31's and they came at 32" and 11.5" respectively. Looking at the w31 and w30 dimensions, it feels doable. Although I suppose theres only one way to find out..yikes!
-
It may be. Very hard to say. 21oz can stretch a lot but it’s thigh stretch that is hardest to come by. It’s also only one size you have to overcome. My experience with this concerned going from a 36 to a 34 in the IH-555-01. The 36 was too loose after stretch but the 34 never stretched enough. Good luck!
-
just ordered a pair of these. i was tormenting @Adam for measurements of lots of pairs but the only way to figure it out is to try the damned things on. if they don't work, ill exchange them for something that does… now the next 3 days of waiting...

Is this your first pair in the 777 cut?
-
yeah man these are my first ones. well see how it goes!

It's a great cut for a slimmer look but the rise can be dangerously low for some. It's the lowest I can go but if you get the sizing right it's a great fit. Hope it works out for you.
-
Thanks man, yeah I know. If the rise and thigh don’t work then I’ll probably grab the 777 xhs which has a bigger rise and thigh. And theeen if that don’t work I just go with the 634s and have them tapered…... oooor I wait for the 888 od but that rise is a little high for me. The 633sii is the best rise I have but I could afford to
Loose and inch. Anybody ever get and y rise stretch?? Is that even a thing? -
Honestly I have never noticed any rise stretch, maybe it's a thing?
-
Well I know my 634s stretched everywhere. They got very loose. Even before I dropped weight. But idk I’d the rise stretched specifically.
