Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
Can we sneak a medium-dark brown color in the mix if the IHSH-56 is remade?

I would buy a union suit in a heartbeat. My fantasy is Haraki weaving some merino in the waffle. Seriously, I would buy two.

what about corduroy pants. indigo dye with the same cut as the 816 work pants..

I recently bought one of these -
The quality is amazing.
Iron heart should make a traditional Union suit following this material, with a red marl option.
A top quality item with thick elasticated cuffs at the wrists and ankles, double thick seat area and maybe even with an oversized draw-sting hood.
I think it would be popular.
Quality never goes out of style!

Not apparel, but what about shaving items? Could be a cool Jaoanese-style kamisori razor, a more conventional straight edge, or just a tallow based shaving soap. After shave lotion or balm could also be a great addition.
I don't know that shaving stuff fits with the IH aesthetic. I've got quite a few DE razors, shave soaps, etc., and the competition is pretty fierce imo. Plus, nobody shaves much around here

Agreed that the competition is tight, but isn't it also tight for denims? Or watches? Even bearded gents often do a little beard trim. And with the quality of products/ingredients available in Japan, the quality of hammered steel for knives (or kamisori or straight edged razors), the tradition of hair, face, and body care (ever been to a traditional Japanese bath house?), this could be a real win/win – for the maker and the users. My 20 cents, but I too have a decent sized collection of DE razors & etc. Getting another, and a superior one is basically what we're always in search of.

I was thinking today how cool it would be to have embedded studs in my jeans at certain points where they would eventually wear through. Kind of how you do the rivets. What do you think of a good art/iron heart colab? I’m not talking about an insane amount of sterling silver, maybe even their bronze. Just enough to accent.

I would love to see another heavy jersey shirt of some sort. I know the 64 gets made love (and for good reason), but the 158 was another great shirt (one I feel stupid now for passing on) and has some really great texture with the salt and pepper color way.
Not much for the the stripe pattern (ie the 94), but very much for the heavy jersey fabric…

I shudder just imagining the price tag on something like that. I can only imagine that IF it were to happen, Haraki san would commission a highly skilled artisan… They would like cost several hundred dollars in Japan, and likely 40% more expensive from IHUK due to import taxes
agreed. the end product would be very cost prohibitive. Back in 2010 when the whole DE fad took off I went hog wild and bought a bunch of vintage Gillette razors from ebay. It then snowballed into blades, soaps/creams, etc. After 1 year of that I lost interest and basically stuck with using one DE razor out of the dozen or so I accumulated. I highly doubt anyone would spend that kinda dough on an IH razor no matter how cool it would seem.

@Alex and I were talking about this very thing over curry at The New Bengal (oh yeah…..) tonight. If we did make this it would be a USD500 piece of underwear. Don't think it'll happen...
True…but you are selling flannel shirts for up to $350 and people love them, because they believe they are buying items of the highest quality materials, hand made by craftsmen in a traditional way - in small batch production.
It must be difficult to gauge demand for niche items without a trend demographic to follow...
