IHJ-57-BLK - Black Poly/Cotton Waterproof Drizzler Jacket
-
I’ve sworn off messy, shitty mirror pics for a while but need to get one out today.
Scored this from the Outlet. Sized up to XXL because wearing as intended over a tee or shirt in summer is just a non-starter where I live. Rainy days in summer reach a high of 12-14C but can easily stall at 8-10C. I can layer this over hoodies/UHF’s/heavy shirts, on rainy days ftom late spring to early autumn.
Tried on today for the pre-school run in heavy snow and -5C (March in N. Norway is a joy [emoji849]) over an IH hoodie and IHTL-1700…not warm enough for that kind of weather really, but tackled the snow beautifully.

@neph93 thinking of picking one up in Navy. Alex is happy to send an XL and xxl for me to try and compare. The material looks much more breathable than the Cordura jackets. What's your Take? I'd wear this of a t or UHF in UK spring and Autumn. Cheers dude

I’ve worn it twice mate, both times as you see in the pic above, both times in pretty cold conditions. Given those parameters I can’t really give a detailed answer but it certainly breathes better than cordura. How it will work alone over a tee in terms of airiness,I couldn’t tell you. For a spring/summer evening/early autumn jacket you couldn’t ask for a better weight.

@neph93 thanks mate. Ordered xl and xxl today so will have a good idea by next week. My only hesitation with any showerproof jacket is when they don't have a hood…but my Arc'teryx takes care of really wet weather.

So XL or XXL? XL FIRST with just t shirt then hoodie
Now XXL
Verdict?

I realize this jacket is intended to be short but I'm not a huge fan of short shirts and jackets so keep that in mind when I give you my two cents….but XL looks too short in the body and too tight when layering over the hoody. XXL looks much better to me although the sleeves are a tad long...that's not a deal breaker for me.
I say XXL.

Thanks folks. It is the length of the arms on the XXL that concerned me. The XL is definitely shorter in arms and body.
