Engineer boots

I'm a pretty consistent US11 tag size in most shoes, 10.5 in Chuck 70's.
-
I would go with what you generally wear. Even when I sold shoes, I didn't trust the Brannock.

Thank you. Kind of what I was thinking.

I've been known to be wrong on occasion ::) and I'm one to haphazardly distance-buy expensive footwear based on internet research, anecdotes and hearsay, BUT, considering your Brannock results and all, I would bet anything I own that you absolutely should do either one of the following:
1. Send your tracings to Wesco.
2. Order a test pair from your friendly boot-dealer (Baker's offer this, I'm sure IH wouldn't mind) to nail down the sizing.
Edit: Having replied before reading through the preceding parlance, I'm pleased to notice you were indeed planning on taking the test-boot route.

Thanks for the input @Crit_Obs. The main issue I have is that it's a bit time sensitive. I have a wedding to attend that's just around the corner and I was planning on wearing these (western themed wedding, in Az…go figure) as I don't really own any dress/semi dress boots.... or a suit for that matter.
As of now I have a pair of Vibergs en route ...fingers crossed. Once I nail down my sizing I will definitely go the custom route and pick up a pair of Wesco's.

So for my first pair I went with the Viberg black CXL Engineers. I've had them for over a week or so but I've been wearing them around the house to make sure they fit and I'm very pleasantly surprised to say that I actually think I ordered the right size the very first time :D…I went with a 10 and in all honestly I could probably do a 10.5 as well and have more wiggle room but the 10 fits. Fairly easy to get on, even the first time with the plastic bag trick...but a bit more difficult to get off but getting a tad easier each time. When sitting there is a small bit of space between my big toe and the end of the boot but when standing my foot kind of slides down because of the angle of the heel and my toe does touch the very end of the boot. Nothing terribly uncomfortable at all and I'm hoping over time the leather gives a little as they break in.
I've never owned a pair of footwear this nice so I'm blown away by the quality of something like this....and holy shit are engineer boots heavy. May seem obvious to the boot wearers out there but this is new territory for me. This will not be my last pair of Vibergs, Engineers or boots in general.
A big thanks again to @neph93, @Appfaff, and anyone else I may be forgetting for all of the input and help for my first boot purchase.
Worn with the black IH-717 mercerised chinos.

Those look proper ace, the 705 half-sole delivering the knock-out punch.
I hate to have to say this, but I do have to point out that this
when standing my foot kind of slides down because of the angle of the heel and my toe does touch the very end of the boot
is not good at all; the boots won't gain length when the leather relaxes. You say it's not terribly uncomfortable, but it might get exceedingly so when you start wearing them out of the house.
I'm in a similar pickle right now, with a pair of shoes that are almost-comfortable-but-in-the-end-not-quite, due to being ever so slightly too short and a smidgen too narrow. ::) I've worn them outside so will probably take it on the chin, take the loss and move on. There are great fits out there, there's no need to settle to anything less.

Thanks @neph93! Classics indeed. I forgot that B and S carried these also. Great boots.
@Crit_Obs , thanks for the kind words. I think they look killer as well. I was hoping I wasn't going to hear any feedback like that regarding the fit but I appreciate your honest reply. I can easily wear them but maybe they aren't the exact comfort and fit they should be? I haven't actually worn them outside but I have worn them around the house quite a bit so I'm guessing at this point I might not be able to return them.
@Appfaff thanks man! I love them, I will be buying more in the future.
-
Well technically I wore them outside for the photos but the soles have not touched the ground outside.
-
Congrats! Those Engineers look good.

Well @Crit_Obs was right, the 10's are too small. I tried a pair of 10.5's and they fit much better. My 10's will be going up for sale.

Glad to hear it all worked out, you made the right choice 100% no question about it. Life is too short for poorly fitting footwear (and plenty of other unpleasantries).

Saw these on Instagram while in Gosport a few weeks ago… amazingly beautiful!!!
Moto Style appears to be the brand name.... not sure, as they have so many variations of the words displayed around, lol!
