IHB-08 - Heavy Duty "Tochigi" Leather Belt with Nickel Plated Garrison Buckle
-
Gotcha!
-
Looks great with the IHSH-50!

Today I've noticed that my belt is missing one screw :'(. Damn, it did come undone unnoticeably and got lost. @Alex @Giles do you have any left? I'd need two screws and two of those small parts the screws are being screwed into (sorry, dunno what they're called) so I can have a replacement and a spare one for the future.

Since mine is already half-dismantled and also felt pretty dry I gave it the complete Obenauf's Leather Oil treatment and it became amazingly soft and supple. Note that this is the brown version which looks almost black now.
-
Obenaufs is good stuff. In my experience it lightens a bit after a while but not back to the original color. I’ve used it on all my (non-boot) leather stuff for years.

I know that there are measurements on the website, but I'm wondering if anyone in the 32-34" waist range (or even a 33" like me) has one of these, and what their thoughts are on Medium versus Large?
-
I am a true W33 and went for a Large. The belt is pretty comfy if not slightly loose on the middle hole when worn with thick denim. The second hole is doable but snug and not very pleasant to wear (for me). My advice would definitely be the L because you can always cut a small piece off of it to adjust it to your personal liking. The Medium will end up as too short.

This leather is great. Supple, with a smooth, matte face. The buckle is nice and solid and I like the construction and finishing. I would expect it to age quite well.
Geez, I need to clean my mirror…

I agree, go for the L and trim to perfection:
Interested in one of these. If I have to trim anyway (true waist 33), an XL would be an option too right? Just a little more waste…

Ha… our similar tastes strike again. I just picked one up a week ago. My true waist sits at about 34/35" now and my jean size ranges from 33"-35" depending on cut. Earlier I have gone XL and have had to trim about 12cm off. This time I went L. It fits great to the middle hole, so I expect the L will be just fine for you. That being said, the size up and trim trick is hardly difficult.
