Prepping for the movers…
-
Gotta love seeing both Lowe's and Home Depot boxes.
As it happens, we were royally fecked by them both! We literally changed our "wedding" "registration" ("if you insist on getting us something, make it a gift card") of HD gift cards to Lowe's ones due to feckery, then had still more feckery at Lowe's. I'm just glad I wasn't with Brandi when said Lowe's feckery was addressed in a less-than-Iron Heart level of customer service by a terrible GM. I couldn't believe what a dickhead this guy was.
-
By prepping, you mean sitting on your arse?
A) that's why we hired movers, and how else do you prep for movers?
Getting things into the boxes, then cleaning afterwards was my role today. Tomorrow will be getting things out of boxes, then assembling stuff. And our movers were fantastic. I'll have to take a picture of the garage Tetris they performed…

…Tetris they performed...
Great everything worked out Chris. I love hand worked 3-D-Tetris ;).

My work outfit doesn't really change at the moment so I am trying to find nice things to stand in front.

Cheers mate.
I always get nervous when I go near this car, convinced I am going to have a idiot moment and fall on it or something!! -
An F488 in that colour; it’d look a shit-ton better with you falling all over it.
(You look great. I’m not keen on the paint.)

The day before we left for Christmas holiday, we had a 60ft water oak that was draped over our house cut down.
It finally opened up a section next to our house for a small garden and walking path into the back yard.
Today, was all about getting the area cleaned up so we could figure out how to design the space.
Said tree trunk with 634 SRs:

I’ll snap some cleaned up photos once we finish tomorrow morning [emoji482]

Shame to loose the tree, but it looks like there are plenty of others in the area, plus I can see how it is going to open up the space…
Hiring a stump grinder ?
-
Yeah, while we didn’t want to cut it down, it was around 40 years old and already dying. It would have either fallen in a controlled manner by us, or on top of our roof haha
Not sure what we are going to do with it. We kind of want to do something neat with it as the root structure is insane.
Definitely was able to get the space cleared:
Don’t mind the creepy abandoned house next door. Hoping he will just sell it to me for cheap If I keep cleaning his yard lol [emoji23]
