Random Love (anti-rants)

Good to hear- that sounds like it would be fantastic fun.
On a semi-related note, I recently zipped through What Would Diplo Do? Funnier than I expected.

So me and the misses decided no gifts for Christmas, but I got her a few anywho and let her know 2 days before Christmas. So he had no time or idea what to get me, but actually surprised me with a nice gift card for Iron Heart! Guess I will be getting something his winter, haha. The great thing is, she didn't look at the actual pricing of the clothes I wear, she didn't want a heart attack. True love haha

Many thanks to The Crew and Adam(?) or @Alex ? for being so kind to my Mom when she ordered me a gift voucher. She has a hard time using a computer and she really appreciated your help. Merry belated Christmas.

I just want to reiterate that Iron Heart Stubborn Crew is the very best customer service ever!
If you're lurking in here and have never bought anything from them before, don't be afraid. They are awesome people. The most awesome stuff ever too.

@Filthy:
I just want to reiterate that Iron Heart Stubborn Crew is the very best customer service ever!
I should quote this every time I buy summat actually but… Thanks @Sam and @Alex for everything. It's not enough to send a poor Belgian bastard some lovely discounted IH gear from the outlet, it's not enough to haul beer from NYC to the UK to then ship to me, but to go out of your way like you did… Well: thanks. And cheers @IH crew for the voucher.
And shout out to @Jett129 for the beer!!!

Sam: I can't even tell what buttonhole was a bit fucked, and I know which one it was… ??? You're a wizard!..
Sexy Lexy: thanks for the beer, hope you're feeling better!!! I WILL find you something blond and extremely good to make up for the express service!..
Adam: the chinos work like a bleedin charm... Can even do a wee double cuff... Much obliged!..
Jett129, again: thank you so much!.. Bottle safely in the fridge, awaiting further instructions

Sam: I can't even tell what buttonhole was a bit fucked
This is an example of a sentence one should read carefully…

@neph93 u r an asset 2 the community and this forum. always super helpful and such a positive fellow. not sure how u do it with twenty children and counting but u have great energy and ideas here and make this a better place. i’ve been critical of moods in my more active forum days and as such wanted 2 publicly big u up for all u do around here.
-
@neph93 u r an ass

@madmonday I've said this before, although possibly only in pm's, but I really believe that this forum is a worthwhile place to devote my time and energy to. On an internet that otherwise tends towards the petty, the obnoxious and the divisive here we have a small, relatively diverse community that comes together to create something positive. It's a haven compared to the shite and bile that gets spewed forth on the big social media platforms and larger forums and it all revolves around a shared love of a clothing brand. I can stand behind that.
As for my twenty or so kids, you know I don't get out much, or have a life otherwise, so between them and my wife I need the escape [emoji1]. Thank you for the shout out, means a lot.
@Seul kiss my chocolate starfish, gorgeous

Celebrity death news normally would never inspire me to post something, but Albert Finney's today does.
I had the greatest respect for him. A class act as an actor, and a true character in life.
Just a few tidbits from his obituary : several standout performances that assure him a lasting place in film and theatre history. The angry young man in "Saturday Night and Sunday Morning", his ingenious Hercule Poirot in "Murder on the Orient Express", his husband to Audrey Hepburn in "Two for the Road", the drastic depiction of an alcoholic in "Under the Volcano", his late bit in "Skyfall", not least his part in the underrated "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead", in which, incidentally, he wore nicely faded Levi's "granddad" jeans.
A refused CBE and a refused knighthood. Several Oscar nominations, to which he never went, considering the ceremonies a waste of time.
Rest in peace, Albert Finney. You were one of the greats, and you will not be forgotten.
