I didn't mean the pocket bag would be made out of blanket. I meant to say that the pocket bag would be positioned between the blanket and the wearer.
Based on the above I assumed that you’d prefer a pocket bag on the inside. That would create an extra layer of material at each point, potentially disturbing the silhouette. But as I said, I’d prefer no pockets at all for the cleanest possible look.
EDIT: I’ll add that despite my preference the pockets as they are in the pics above are in no way a deal breaker on this jacket for my part. The execution otherwise in terms of materials, denim and design look wonderful.

It would be great of you guys would make a pair of leather super-comfy soled walking shoes in the smae vein as those New Balance I got. But not sneakers, and built to last. (also in a wide width).
