Where does everyone live?

Hi All,
Newbie here, I'm Mike and I'm based in Staffordshire UK. I'm just getting into Iron Heart denim and looking forward to learning more about them.
I purchased my first pair direct from Iron Heart last week. I made a newbie mistake with my measurements and my jeans don't fit
I purchased the IH-666S-18 £266 waist is 31.2 tag size 32 with hemmed inseam of 29.5 inches. Can anyone advise if it's ok to sell them on here? If it is what do I need to do?
Best Regards,
Mike

@MRD71 hi there and welcome.
We have an active Marketplace with buying/selling, trading and want to buy threads. You'll find them here:
https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php#c3
Please do read the guidelines for these threads before posting. They aren't complicated or annoying but they can save time, effort and occasionally trouble.
Sorry to hear the first purchase didn't go as planned. Before you sell, what are the issues? Judging from the photo's they are longer than your older pair and possibly smaller in the waist?
Otherwise, please do explore the product threads of things you're interested in. If you don't find the info you're looking for then ask away either on the specific threads or here: https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=231.0

Thanks for the guidance. The jeans do look to long but they are ok, the rise has potentially made them look longer. The waist and thighs are to small. Even though the dimensions of my other jeans matched closely the slim cut was impossible to get over my chunky thighs. I have purchased another model with a looser cut.

Bare in mind that the waist will stretch quite a bit, an inch or more if necessary. It is often desirable to start with a tight waist. Tight thighs are a bigger problem as there is less stretch to be had. People have different tolerance levels too. Did you soak the IH-666S?

Hi,
I purchased the jeans on 24/06/19 and received them yesterday, they haven't been soaked and are way too tight to. The point where they restrict me from raisong my legs. I can't even button them up. I have spoken to Chesson at Iron Heart today and we both agree they aren't going to stretch enough so it's best to list for sale.

Welcome @flooded and thanks for the great intro. How do you feel the IH jeans compare to the ONI/PBJ jeans? I'm always amazed at how a straightforward design (the five pocket jean) can be expressed in so many ways and how these brands manage to imprint their aesthetic on every product they make.
Thanks.
In terms of construction quality, I think Iron Heart are as good as jeans get. I also like the 666 cut more than pretty much any other pair of jeans I own.
I like interesting things done with denim, and only own 2 pairs of indigo warp/white weft jeans. I have a pair of grand indigo dyed Flat Head, made out of their 16 ounce denim which fades with FH's signature vertical lines. My other pair of blue/white jeans are a pair of PBJ KS-013, which until my recent weight loss were a little tight, so haven't seen a lot of wear. All my other pairs of jeans are (among others) double indigo, indigo/black, indigo/purple, kakishibu/indigo, and of course indigo overdyed black. While I still love and wear super slubby, unsanforized denim for the incredible fades it produces, I've found that it tends to wear through much quicker due to it's rough character, and is nowhere near as resilient as the IH's.
The first 3 pics below are of the Flat Head 'Last Corl' after around 8 months of wear with a couple of soaks and 2 machine washes. You can see the vertical fading I mentioned. The last 2 pics are a pair of Oni 516-IDID after around 6 months of wear with 2 soaks. As you can see the denim is incredibly rough, producing some interesting fades, but also, starting to wear through where the corner of the phone sticks out.

@flooded Not to extend off-topic too far, but there usually seems to be a trade-off in character versus durability on denim (not including the use of intentionally degrading elements like cotton constructional yarns in many Japanese brands).
I think that IH's vintage 18oz denim balances the two perfectly, the denim itself being tough but with lots of character, and then the overbuilt construction with hefty polycotton constructional yarns completing their hard-wearing durability.

this seems like the active intro thread so lemme just come in and say hello! my name is nick and i live in salt lake city, utah by way of santa fe, nm. i used to be very into raw denim and leather boots, but through that got into visvim and other designer clothes. now i am coming full circle and getting back into jawnz, starting with the brand i always wanted to try, iron heart. gotta say, one wear in and i think i'm sold.
salt lake city is gorgeous, every time i get frustrated by our politics, i look outside at the mountains and remember what brought me here to begin with. if anyone else is nearby, hit me up and we'll get lunch!

Welcome!
Beautiful city–my wife is heading there soon to do an event for a German car company, and I have met some great folks there, which tempted me to tag along and hang with them. Utah is a gorgeous state and I'd like to add to my list of places visited (SLC, Park City, Deer Valley, Moab).
I have yet to visit Santa Fe, but it is on our list--closest I've been was lovely Taos, which we loved.

Hi All!
My name is Alex. I’m originally from Washington, DC but have lived in Berlin for over six years now [emoji1099]
I bought my first pair of Iron Heart jeans, IH-634S-B overdyed, at the beginning of the year and was sold right away—best jeans I’ve ever had.
I’ve purchased a few more items since then and have become quite the fan of Iron Heart, especially now since there’s more 4XL sizes available.…looking forward to the 4XL UHFs coming out in the fall.
-
@Alex_24 good to see you here, was great to meet you and the family in Berlin recently!
Thanks! It was great to meet you guys as well. It was a fun event.
The weather’s cooled off since then, so it’s a bit more comfortable now.I was thinking about making the trip over for the party in September, so I may join in the convo on that thread. I assume the quickest way to get to Gosport from Berlin is a flight to London and then the train, right?

And bring either loads of cash or a massive amount of self-restraint
Awesome, ok. …not sure what I did with my self-restraint. I lost it somewhere long ago, so I’ll guess I’ll just have to bring cash [emoji386] [emoji6]
