Have you considered this?

I’d take that over the original

Yeah, probably not.
Benchmade kind of screwed over Doug Ritter with the Rittergrip plus their recent drama has got me reticent on adding anymore to my collection.
A shame, the Bugout and Bailout look pretty nice.
i just got a bug out a week ago
it's alright
not crazy sharp
but first thing i did was order new scales for it as well

not here yet but i got them in the aluminum oxide blast with right side pocket clip holes only and i kept the lanyard hole

Was with my knife nut cousins in Nashville last weekend and we did a “gray turd” roll call
Mine is the small Sebbie with indigo stains. I love my Sebs but that Inkosi is really something else.
Of course we went knife and gun shopping and I picked up this BM Aller. Pretty different from the rest of my collection but it’s a neat little tool.

So there are 2 custom knives in Paris right now, and I went to both. Yesterday I went ro the SICAC, which is clearly not what it used to be. Today I went to the FICX, where a number of fancy makers were displaying. I bought 2 knives, both by Jen Anso, a maker I’ve been looking at for a while. The knives are a semi custom chef’s knife in bog oak, and a custom slipjoint (Casino) in bronze.

The chef’s knife is very nice. Many custom makers make chef’s knives with a Jpz-ish twist, which ends up reducing the curvature of the edge, which is silly IMHO, because I find the curve itself super useful. Also, this knife has a fairly small handle, which works best for my medium sized hands.
The sheath & handle on this specific piece is 2,000 year old bog oak.

Speaking of Anso here is my Giant Mouse edc

Seems to be a chop-first slice-later set of priorities in some traditional Japanese cutlery shapes.
