Rambo Last Blood… A film that just didn't need to be made, but somehow nostalgia won over.

I really liked uncut gems too. At the end of the movie i realised my heart rate had been up for two hours and I was slightly sweaty. Sandler does kill it. You honestly want to punch him in the face most of the film.

I've always wanted to punch him.

Agree, but now it was for being a slimer not a jackass.

I'm not big on watching films but this weekend I watched:
Inglorious Basterds - seen before, in my top 10
Shutter Island - first watch, thought it was good, tense the whole way!
Tarantino and Scorsese, good combo! Jess asked me, 'has Scorsese made any other decent films?"
Start her out with Mean Streets. That'll answer that.

Saw The Gentlemen a few ago. Lots of fun, without being quite as wild and irreverent as Lock, Stock…
One thing though, there was some pretty tasty clobber in the movie. One of the main characters had a nice pair of straight cut, high rise selvedge on. If I were to guess I’d say Dawson, just because of the cut. There were a couple of high end leather jackets, a very slubby type II and a nice pair of olive, herringbone workpants.

In the vein of Ford v Ferrari, there are two good documentaries on Netflix: one on Shelby, the other on Le Mans and the FvF rivalry. Adam Corolla was a producer on both, and his old co-host Jimmy Kimmel held a door for us and was very kind to us at Little Sister, a great Viet restaurant, in Manhattan Beach.

It's such a great story. And so damn sad too, particularly how they did Ken Miles.
Having seen the documentaries, I believe that they should do a prequel and cover more of Carroll Shelby's amazing life as a racer and as an entrepreneur/hustler/huckster/builder, andwhat his crack team of misfits were able to do at Shelby American, particularly around the 427 Cobra and finally beating Ferrari (this is what got Ford's attention as they measured penises with Ferrari), about his visit to Ferrari and how Enzo was a dick to him (surprise), and so forth. There are amazing stories waiting to be told on the big screen, and I would love it if they could parlay the success and interest from FvF into doing so.
The similarities between Shelby and Ferrari (the men) are interesting–both former racers, both wheeler dealers, both founders of excellent scuderias that won major endurance races.

Parasite was great, weird, and had a few unexpected turns to say the least.

We watch 'I don't feel at home in this world anymore' … Hilariously dark and funny. @den1mhead this is another one you might appreciate!
