I’ve decided I need to do some research into this whole rolling hem issue… ordered my wabash black in large late last night and got a notification that it’ll be here Monday. MONDAY! Holy smokes, when I order things from SESF it takes a week, and that’s around a 100 miles away... you guys rock! I’m actually counting on some hem role and a bit of shrink to get it so that it fits less like a dress

Well done, sir. Great shirt.
Shrink definitely obtainable with this fabric, but requires a hot wash.
The transatlantic shipping/delivery times that IHUK manage are pretty awesome.

Customs issues in the USA are very rarely an issue for us.
- The personal import threshold is USD800. If we are shipping a higher value than that we split into multiple packages
- We ship to USA with a paperless commercial invoice, which means the receiving customs entity gets the commercial paperwork sent to them electronically so that they can process the entry before the physical package even leaves the UK. On the few occasions we have had to answer questions, we have normally done that before the physical shipment gets to the local US UPS depot.
I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of delays we have experienced due to customs issues in the 10 or so years we have been using UPS.

" Multiple packages?
" I get excited when I get a SINGLE package.
Thats a good day when you get more than one -

Amen to that.^ I've been spoiled by IH delivery times to the States. Routinely faster than shipping times within the US.

yes, of course!
But getting things from the US into Germany always adds a significant amount to the price tag.
In addition, I sold a jacket to a nice guy in the US via this forum 4 weeks ago. It‘s still on its way, half the time in the US… USPS. Maybe a single „S“ makes the big difference... -
the German customs are renowned for being up there with the worst in the world….
can confirm, receiving care packages from family back in the states can be a problem sometimes.
Germans do have a "thing" for paperwork. -
800 import threshold?
Wow, that’s great! I think the threshold for Germany is 50 Euros or so for VAT and 150 for customs…Threshold for ordering from US in The Netherlands is 20EUR, both VAT and customs. ::)

Wow, that was lightning fast delivery! If these pics load, the curl can be seen in one of them. For me it adds to the character and keeps it from being too, too long(?)
This shirt is glorious. Stiffer than I imagined, which I like a lot. I was thinking it would be supple, like my UHFs, but it is more like a denim really. I love how the wabash dots are a cream brown.
I’m wondering if there’s enough fabric for me to go with a medium with my next purchase (might be the indigo version of this shirt upon restock), as I’ve lost a lot of weight and am still trying to figure out my sizing… anyone got any advice on whether I could size down? I’m 5’10.5” 163 lbs 18” shoulders, 41” chest (in case there’s someone with a similar build). I will stick with this one and see what happens in the wash, once it needs it.
Definitely an unparalleled buying experience, I’m still dumbfounded at how fast this got here.
Edit: Ghah! Why are my pics farging sideways!?

First things first, congrats. I love IH wabash and while I don’t have the black version if this shirt (yet), I have a lot of items, (vests, shirts, trousers) in both indigo, black and white.
The stiffness subsides with wear and washing, but only slowly, the heaviness remains. The fabric is a twill weave just like denim is.
As for sizing, it looks good. The sleeve and body length and all appear to be where they should be. It is maybe a little on the roomy side, but I feel like an M would be too small for you. The good news is that this shirt will shrink on warmer temps. You can get a lot of shrinkage out of it on very high temps, if you like. If that is of interest then let me know and I’ll advise you on my tried and tested methods [emoji1]

Thanks! I read your shrink test, which makes me think the indigo version will work once restocked. I’ll just bide my time and obsessively go back and forth between the work shirt vs the western until then Thanks for the guidance!

…any chance of 4XL being included in the next restock of these?

Sweet [emoji41] count me in for a 4XL[emoji3516]
