IH-526L - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo

Oh well… I was hoping for a medium with measurements similar to last round(longer sleeves, narrower p2p and shoulders) Wondering when next round might be, @Giles ? Also, I have two size smalls from last round that I soaked so couldn't return. Let me know if interested

Thanks @neph93 ! I'll do that for sure… I've got a lot of great IH gear that I've acquired along my way of trying to find out sizing/shrinkage/etc. It's been a fun($) journey, haha! Thanks again for the tip!

Can anyone who has this jacket help me out with some measurements? Ones that aren’t normally listed. This is for a custom project I’m working on.

For months, I kept telling myself I didn't need a 4th denim jacket. This jacket kept calling out to me though, and last week I caved in.
Very glad I did too! With the extra lenght in the body and sleeves, and slightly more room overall, it's a great addition to my wardrobe. And the 19 oz lefty fabric is just insane. My two other IH jackets (101J and 22-OD) are pretty sturdy, but this one feels like it's bulletproof. Actually, I chafed my adam's apple after I walked around with the second button closed for a bit (visible in the picture). Until I started wearing IH, I didn't know I had this masochistic streak… ::)

Well done @Lowlander. No shame in having a choice when it comes type III’s especially if they serve different purposes. I have my party type III in ecru pique, and two OD type III’s in different sizes, so I can layer in one of them. I need to re-purchase a duck one when the restock comes.
The extra length in that one suits you well. I actually can’t do this jacket as I need to go so big to get the shoulders to fit that the body ends up far too long for me.

Thanks Neph! Good to know I'm not the only one whose jacket collection is expanding beyond necessity!

Hello folks. New to the forum and to finer clothing in general. I got my first denim jacket in many years a few days ago, and it happens to be a 526L. Figured I’d post the initial fit pic from then. By now I have already worn it for a few days. It is notably less stiff but certainly not soft. This is a small with a UHF underneath. Looking forward to posting progress pictures eventually.

How great are these? Its been around 2 weeks since I got mine–and Im still stoked. every day when I pit it on.
The fit is the way it should be @Erikdayo –I for one, cant wait till it starts to evolve. -
Indeed. I am loving my 526L so far and wishing I'd gotten into nicer clothing years back. By yesterday it already felt pretty good. Breaking in quickly because I've been wearing it all day at work each day. This jacket is so nice it makes me question the Momotaro 03-142 type II jacket I have on order. I thought it would be good to have a few jackets to rotate, but I've been enjoying wearing the 526L every day.

Im totally with you on that @Erikdayo .
Ive been wearing/breaking mine in every day since I got it too. This Jacket is just a blast to wear.Cant remember the last time a piece of clothing gave me such a kick to wear, oh wait, the 33 IND, oh wait, my 666-21s, etc..etc–
its been around 1-3 grad here in Berlin and when I wear a vest under it...its just perfect.
Cancel that M-word jacket now -
@dinobarnesberlin I initially planned on getting the 2526J rather than the M-word jacket, but the length being 2.5" shorter than the 526L seemed like a big negative unless I end up getting some high rise pants. Perhaps if I went up to a medium on the 2526J it would be okay.
I think I read in another thread that you have quite the collection of denim jackets.
Personally, the Iron Heart piece that would give me the greatest joy would be the 242-MUS, but it's long gone. I've been looking around for a used small. Still quite happy with the few pieces of IH clothing I've been lucky enough to obtain.

One reason I like the modified Type III… it’s basically a CPO in the style of a Trucker Jacket [emoji106][emoji41]

…and it looks great. As do the shave and sideburns.
Thanks, dude [emoji120][emoji120] Maintaining the beard, while wearing masks, with all the barbershops being closed was proving to be a bit tiresome[emoji610][emoji40]
