Merz beim Schwanen

Pretty sick @Joberwocky I was looking at the Henley too.. I am keen on a pair of their sweatpants when I get the money.
I wear my 14 oz tee under my two favorite IH long sleeves pretty much every day. I just washed it. The only thing that sucks is that I wish this was a 2xl so I could put it in the dryer. When I get a chance I will probably buy a 2xl and keep my XL to do a screen print on and cut the neck and sleeves out of.
I could try and look up the numbers of the two IH long sleeves I love but it's easier just to take a picture.

For the record @Filthy I went 1 size up on the Henley, and it feels like a LOT more room, they may be more generously cut

Great recommendation on the 2S14 @Filthy - grabbed on yesterday and wearing it today. It’s crazy how heavy, but even more crazy how totally breathable and comfortable they are. I was a bit in disbelief that it could possibly weigh 14oz, so I compared against my IHT-1600. The 2S14 is definitely heavier. I love the 1600 and you can feel all of the 11ounces. Bu comparison, the 2S14 feels light and airy.

Because of how breathable this fabric feels, my mind played tricks on me and I started to doubt that it could possibly be 13.6oz. So I weighed my large, and it comes in at a massive 420g. I can’t understand how this thing can be so beefy while still being so light and airy when worn… it’s like a textile magic trick

I have a l/s henley in that 14oz fabric and love it, so damn nice. I wanna get a tee as soon as they have em back in stock in charcoal L on the Merz site, plus a couple other things I've been eyeing. Kinda developing a mildly unhealthy obsession with Merz

Thank you to @Filthy and others who sang the praises of the 2S14. Requested for a birthday gift and couldn’t be any happier. One hell of a t shirt.

I picked up a couple of the 2S18 (the ls version) a few weeks ago from R&H and couldn’t agree more. The fit is a bit more generous than the 206/207 henleys and 1950s tees, so if anyone is considering these do check the sizing (you might want to size down).

Hehe. “Slightly” slubby. And I’m “slightly” an IH fan.
Love em. H/T and thank you to @Filthy gor my first one.

I'd be interested to try this brand again, but I ordered a couple of the extra heavy 14oz tees a few months back and the fit was so weird. The neck hole was out to my collar bone and low on my back. Looks like a few pics shirts in this thread also have this "feature" but then others don't. Anyone know which cut or fabric weights to look at with small neck openings?
-
Weird! Not sure but I have two of the 14oz with normal human sized neck openings.
“Y’all got any of that slub?”

I just got this Merz 1950s T and while it is probably the most comfortable shirt I’ve ever worn, I am concerned about these little shoulder points. Do they ever settle down? Is this only on the 1950s cut or do all of their shirts do it?
-
Last year I also wanted to try those out so I bought a black and a white 215 tee. Same size.
The black is superb fit and is now faded nicely. The white turned out horrible after first wash and is now wider than it’s long . Not wearable. I didn’t reach out to Merz so my own fault it’s now just laying around.
Cheers

@CrowRobot my 2S14 has the shoulder points too. I'm thinking they will dissipate with wear & washing.

It’s not too bad I guess, the shirt is so comfortable, it makes up for the little shoulder peaks lol.
-
Not sure if you're hanging em to dry, but getting some non-shoulder-bump hangers helps. Normal hangers will definitely cause bumps, but not sure if that's what caused em on your tee.

It was from the packaging, it got a little better after a wash. I lay tshirts flat to dry unless it’s a thick graphic tee. Old habit from mainly wearing merino.

You might want to try the 215. It's the same cut as the 1950 but it's the double heavyweight one. I have those little points on the shoulders on my 1950, but not on the 215. I also think the 215 is better in general since I prefer the heavier weight. Probably my favorite tee out there right now (though I haven't tried an IH one yet, sacrilege, I know!).
