There is a an irony emoji now. I should learn to use it.
Which emoji is this?
Also, I had a question..
Are the non-IH brands available through the international site all part of the Works INC group?
If not, what determines what ends up for sale there as opposed to on a sister store like Sonder Supplies?
The brands are not a part of Works. GAH, SFK, OGL and PN (to name a few) are brands that for for one reason or another @Giles and @Alex have met and developed a relationship with through the years. They are fill a hole in the IHUK product line, or add a little something extra.
As for irony emoji, there is a limited consensus that it is this: [emoji854] Although I feel like a number could be used to convey irony in context.
Of course, emoji’s as a form of language are equally as unstable as words and sounds so there’s always the opportunity for disruption of the message between the sender and reciever(s).
@endo, close as I can get [emoji3550][emoji1665]

Is anyone aware of good denim shops in Hakkaido? I met some of my wife's clients last night and they mentioned that they're going to be in Hakkaido for a week and he's interested in checking out some denim shops while there. Anyone have leads on where it would be worth looking?

The 21 oz and 14 oz denims are made with a "double twisted weft." I know the differences between weft and warp yarns, but what exactly is a double twisted weft? Also, what is its effect? And is this something unusual in denim?

Thank you, Giles! I had been wondering about this for ages.

I'm wondering if this has happened before to any of you fine folk.
I was taking/slipping my engineer boots off by using my feet only, rocking the heel with my opposite toe. Usually this works just fine. Well this time my heel slipped and I slammed the front of my shin with it. Hard. Reminded me of my skateboarding days. Hurt like a mfer and left a bump.

I have not! I take my boots off the same way though. Always wanted to get a good bootjack.

How does the 19oz LHT compare to the 21oz fabric?
I’m a huge fan of the latter, but sold my 777s this year as I moved away from slimmer cuts. Will probably grab some 21oz 888s, but I’m unsure whether I should give the 19 LHT a try instead. What I love about the 21oz IH fabric is the immediate comfort, stretch/shrink is easy to predict, and slow fading. What would I be getting if I swerve for the LHT instead?
Cheers

This is easily IH’s most under the radar denim. It is fantastic. My IH-666L-19 are my comfiest jeans now, comparable to 21oz. But initially they are harder going and crunchier. Slightly harder work that 21oz, but totally worth it. Stretch wise, do the same sums as with 21oz. Fade beautifully.

Check out the 19oz Lefty Trucker thread to see faded example photos @jerkules if you have not already. They fade high contrast and super beautifully. I would say give the 19oz a try!
Yours and Twin's LHT truckers sold me on LHT for my next pair of jeans! Gonna give the 777s a shot, but I need to work on my 21oz SBG 666s first…
