My home town

@neph93 I just looked up some further information on the Customs House as the upper windows look to be in the style of Scottish art nouveau architect Rennie Mackintosh.
Cool to learn it is indeed art nouveau and designed by a chap called Søren Wiese Opsahl.
Lovely stuff!Well done mate, it has a plaque on it too. Another building that survived the bombing is about 2km down my street. Possibly even more interesting. Next time I walk past and it is light I’ll post it.

There is an entire movie about an infamous water park I grew up next to, visited often and worked at as a teen.

Nice @neph93 looking forward to see that soon… if you climp up that mountain you can see the sun... can Aurora Borealis been seen there?
Aurora Borealis is a fairly regular occurrence, although there are never any guarantees. We’ve had two great shows already this year so we’ll cross our fingers for February.
The sun doesn’t make it above the horizon but I’d imagine the light is spectacular from that peak at this time of year. The view is always wonderful, I’ve been up there three times.

Winter grouse. May be the same thing by another name?

@neph93 do you find you have to supplement vitamin D up there or are you getting so much cold water fish it comes naturally?
In Minneapolis that stuff helped with my seasonal affective disorder in winter. I embrace the cold, but short and overcast days get to me.

I have done. Not every year though. We do eat a lot of fish, so maybe that helps, but vitamin D is a good thing without a doubt. I have a lot more melanin than the average Norwegian too, meaning I definitely should use it more than I do.
