Were any sent to be OD'd that may follow some time shortly after this release?
I had asked a while ago and been told potentially this month. I’d love to grab one too!

Update after a year and a half of not super frequent wear…

I'm considering adding my first IH vest and after looking at the size chart, the measurements point to L. I'm normally an M on UHF's. I compared this vest size chart against my recent purchase of the IHSH-295 BB and the measurements point that I should go with an L. Is my assumption correct?
Where do I find the stockists for these in Germany? IH Hamburg has them but no L in stock.

I thought not every retailer carries it and I was searching through the forum pages to find out which ones are indeed having stock of these.
What about the measurements? Is my size comparison to my shirt reasonable? Should I go with an L?
-
Vests are tricky and personal to each person tastes and interests. Are you layering over a t-shirt, a t-shirt plus a UHF, over a jacket, etc…It all depends on how you're going to wear it as well as the overall look you are going for.
Phone the shop or drop them an email with your thoughts and concerns and they are always more than helpful. They are always the number one resource you should be checking with.

Vest measurements are tricky to look at cause the armpit is typically cut higher and therefore look smaller, I think. I have found that for IH vests the same size or even a size down from my flannel size is best.

I can echo the same advice above. My additional input is that I've found going to a smaller p2p that you might with a jacket or shirt is less problematic for me because there's no issues with tightness across the back due to reaching with not having sleeves. Also the couple of numbers worth paying more attention to are the length and opening. For me that really helped determine how and where the vest would sit and layer or not.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I went with an M. Will see how it fits.

So my question for anyone who has this vest is the shoulders. The 3XL measurements are perfect for me but I was wondering how the shoulders would sit. If they are the same as my type 3 jacket would they stick up because I don’t have sleeves pulling them down? My type 3 has 20.4 shoulders and it’s perfect. I just want to know if maybe they’re sloped down more than a jacket. I think I could get away with a 2XL. Thanks!

I have this vest and the 526J type III in the same size (42), and the 526J is about 1/2"-1" or so wider in the shoulders than the vest.

I went with the same size as my UHF's and the fit is indeed very much perfect.

Asking for your opinion on the fit. Is it short from the length? Every other measurement is spot on for me. Sorry for the crappy lighting.
-
it's hard to tell from that view, but I'm also being thrown by where the sleeves appear to be falling compared to the wrist which has me questioning the length of the shirt as well, since we can't see the belt line. But the width across your body looks spot on. Is that done up with all the buttons fastened?
