Good luck @Oaktavia !
I think the ultimate cancer machine is the Bernese mountain dog, a shame because they are lovely creatures.

boxers are pretty bad, too. I've had close to 10, and all but two have developed some form of cancer. Gut-wrenching, to say the least…
gotta be hyper vigilant when vetting breeders, and even sometimes then, things go awry

Update on Indigo:
So good new but not quite out of the woods. The biopsy revealed no cancerous cell but the vet stated that since that wasn't the whole tumor that we cannot completely rule it out. He is getting us steroids for him to see if that does anything. If the they work, the mass will shrink and that'll be it. If they don't work, next steps will be taken to determine his diagnosis.
So not exactly the answer we were expecting. I thought today we would either be told yes or no…but like most things I don't understand, it's more complicated than that. My wife sees this as good news, but I'm having a hard time with it. We will find out in two to three weeks. If the mass/tumor goes away, that means he could have hurt himself by chewing in something he found around the house or outside somewhere. Which is what we initially thought it was.

@Oaktavia this sounds like pretty good news, even if it’s not quite a full answer. I hate to say it, but this might be one of those times when you should listen to your wife (it doesn’t have to set a precedent or anything :)).
You are correct my dude
Best of luck with Indigo @Oaktavia , sounds encouraging. To me the most frustrating part of medical issues with our furry friends is that they don't talk.

@Oaktavia glad to hear Indigo has some positive news. I understand how frustrating it is to not have a concrete answer one way or the other. Feels like such a shitty limbo. It’s incredible what those steroids can do. Hopefully it can be short term and Indigo and your family can get back to some sense of normal.
