IH-777-XHSBB - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super-Slim Tapered Cut Jeans - Black/Black

This is probably more nitpicky but I'm debating if I should give them a weeks wear or soak now.
I should have said initially, but imho that is an excellent pre-soak fit.
Get the shrink out, they will stretch back to where they are now and look even better after you putting your mark on them. They’ll be perfect.

Only a bit of black.

Loving the pre and post measurements Nick, we really appreciate that! Hope you are loving the denim.
I must admit that the rear rise is the most difficult measurement to get right, especially with such a heavy fabric, Ben and I worked together finding this pair for you and I can confirm that they were 16.2" (as per the size chart) when measured The Iron Heart way. We can't wait to see some progress pics of these!
-
Yeah I've watched the measuring video more than a few times. These numbers are making me think I could try the 25oz indigo/black eventually. I'll get some pictures once they become less stiff.
-
Day 2, hot soaked and machine washed. These were quite a struggle to get buttoned up at first, but have quickly stretched out to a perfect fit.
-
@Nskelton With the few that stated there was barely any noticeable shrink with their XHSBB’s I was getting a bit worried until you posted. So, BIG thanks for your thorough pre & post-soak measurements!!! Helps a lot.
@peregrine such an epic fit on your pair!!! & awesome photos, really captures the true essence of the denim color & texture-wise.
-
@RoxRocks86 You're welcome, the fit after after hot soak.
-
Agreed! You really nailed the fit @Nskelton Going off the list in your signature, these are your first pair of XHS? Thoughts?
-
@RoxRocks86 Stiff. Maybe it's the double black, but these feel like they could break in very similarly to my overdyed pair. I like them a lot so far.
-
Both fits look great. 25 Oz is too heavy for me but you pull it of fantastic.
-
@RoxRocks86 Thanks! It's practically impossible to truly capture that Iron Heart magic on camera but I think I got pretty close.
-
@peregrine your pictures definitely show off the darkness better than mine. Fit looks great by the way. Did you shorten the inseam?
-
@Nskelton Thanks. Yep, I mostly prefer to rock stacks and/or cuffs with varying lengths but I wanted to try a cleaner silhouette with this pair. Had them hemmed by IHUK to 29.5" and after washing they now measure 28.75". These are now the shortest pair in my rotation but I think they turned out great.

It looks amazing Peregrin! I have to ask: have you tried getting on a bike in those? I live in Copenhagen, Denmark, and biking is 90 % of my transportation

Hoping for some help from you greats!
Looking at the pair with not to much to compare to. I have a pair of Japan Blue J301s tag 31 (measurements in centimetres below).
There's definitely room in the waist, thigh and legs. I'm having difficulty assesing how the 777-XHSBB will behave after a 30 degree machine wash (no tub in my 1 sqmtrs bathroom).
Waist wise, I think the 32 tag in these would be best, but I'm sh** at assessing the other factors + countering in shrinkage.
Hoping for some advice!
