IHSH-246-NIN - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt – Natural Indigo

@Lowlander Thanks for the swift reply!
It is exactly for the measurements that I'm also inclined to this shirt!
-
@Lowlander One other question about shrink. So the Small on this shirt is a perfect fit for me if I can get 1 or 2cm here or there in the waist and the opening. So what is your experience on the shrinkage on this guy?
-
Mine was a bit large straight out of the bag. I gave it a hot soak in the tub, and I think I got a tiny but of shrinkage. I didn't measure, but I was happy with the final result. Maybe you can get some more shrinkage if you do a 60-90 Celsius machine wash, but probably nothing very dramatic, as this shirt is both sanforized and one-washed… I think we're probably talking millimeters, not centimeters.
If I don't forget I will post a fit pic tomorrow so you can compare to my pre-soak fit pics a couple of posts up.

Cool! A fit pic would be good to do a comparison against your pic which is already there on this page!

Allright, so comparing it against when it was new, it looks much fitted now. I hope you did not alter it or whatsoever, but it fits you much better now!

My 246 broke in and feels a lot more fitted now as well. Amazing shirt [emoji170]

I had to heed to this! Placed an order for a small! I wanted to go for the 33, but the measurements on the NIN is hard for me to justify the 33. The extra 80 Euros is a pain but for that I'm getting a shirt that I know I would not have to fear for it getting smaller after a hot soak or a hot wash! Looking forward to receiving it!
Thanks @Lowlander

This is a fantastic shirt and all I can say is that grab one should one be available! My most worn IH shirt so far!

Hi guys,
After reading through all the comments I went down a size, from my normal xxl to xl. How's the fit? It feels ever so slightly tight on the shoulders. I guess it looks pretty good? I also included a shot of the 235 military serge shirt, which is in xxl for comparison.

@gniquil, I agree, looks like a great fit! A little more room in the shoulders might have been nice, but if you sized up, I expect the lenght of the shirt and the sleeves would be too long…

Thanks guys.
I guess it's time for cutting the tag. Can't wait to see how these fade.
Btw, how do you guys roll up your sleeves with your ironheart shirts? I'm not sure if I'm the only one who has this problem, but I can roll up full cuff width at most 2 times, which puts it in the middle of my forearm. This looks a little bit too low for me. So I have to resort to folding the cuffs about 3/4 way (so not the full cuff width) and this allows to me to fold 3 times. It's slightly higher but still doesn't look high enough. I also feel bad for the cuffs. What do you guys do?

I do different things depending on the situation, but most commonly I will cuff twice and then push over my elbow, where it will sit.

Couple of things…
It looks great. Yes it is a little more trim in the shoulder, but if anywhere is going to stretch and relax it is the shoulder. Nor is it too trim. Everything else is bang on. Congratulations!
Regarding cuffs, firstly the arms on IH shirts are often narrow, this is because you don’t want them flapping on a motorcycle, or taking up too much room under a heavy jacket. Persoanlly I have to roll up sleeves whenever I can, unless I’m buttoned up against the cold. I find most sleeves relax with use... unbuttoning the gusset and repeated cuffing means you can get them up to the elbows eventually.
As for feeling bad for them, don’t. I know this gear is expensive but it is made and worn by people who work hard and play hard, normally up to their elbows in crankshaft grease. Treat it like you hate it, and don’t baby it. This is after all how you make it yours. Fades and evolution won’t come from babying the gear.
