neph93 I was previously into Engineered Garments and Tender Co, but when I made the move out of London and found out that there is a quite special headquarters of quality clothing fifteen minutes by bicycle and ferry away it became clear that I needed to lean into Iron Heart, since I’m partial to bricks and mortar retailers, especially when there are good people running them. Then I lost enough weight that necessitated a clear-out and renew, so over the last couple months I started with a pair of denim and a uhf, then moved on to outerwear, then knits, and most recently footwear and more shirting. Still feel like I’m learning the IH aesthetic which is new to me, not coming from motorcycling and being previously closer to the off kilter ivy/military/outdoor roots of brands like EG, Yuketen, and Orslow. I’m appreciating that learning curve and although I can’t fully see myself in engineer boots yet, I have come around to western shirts (even if I still need to dial in sizing). Seeing all the creative choices people share here is a big part of the appeal of IH. So thanks to Iron Heart crew and the forum for this cool stuff.

Thanks for that post, I always enjoy reading peoples motivations, reasoning and attitudes regarding clothing in general, but especially IH.
The great thing with Haraki-san’s design aesthetic is that the clothes, have a somewhat classic, conservative expression meaning they function as something of a blank canvas. They can be styled, combined in very personal ways so that something as straightforward and functional as a chambray workshirt can be used to create an enormous variety of looks and effects without leaning into a biker style.

Actually too cold for this jacket but I’ve had it since the start of winter and really want to wear it, so I stuffed three layers under it [emoji1] It really is a great jacket and will see a lot of use from April to October.

Admit it @Brock you missed your over engineered clothing, and you ran right past the dog to say hi.
Also, getting home from vacation is one of the best feelings in the world.
I miss home about 2 days into a vacation, maybe 1 day. (says the guy who "loves to travel")
