IHSH-246-NIN - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt – Natural Indigo
-
I have washed, soaked the first shirt many times over the course of several months and I can tell you that it does not shrink that much. You can hardly expect it to shrink more than 1 cm to 1.5 cm on all fronts. If you compare this with the IHSH-33, the 246 has generous measurements and this in my opinion accounts for any shrinkage (if at all).

Thanks for the reply Giles. I think it may be borderline as well, I was originally worried that the length and sleeve length might start to be a bit much in the Large (only 5'7").
-
Just for record purposes, I'm logging the measurements on the new pair that I received today.
Length - 74.5cm
Sleeve - 64cmThe other measurements are not so relevant for me. I will do a hot soak in the next days and pen down the measurements again. So far, loving this shirt!

Well, I've hunted down a Large elsewhere and I've got my Medium stacked, so time to find out just how much slack I feel comfortable with in the chest measurement. Thanks for the input, everyone

I will chime in and say yeah, for whatever reason, this has been my go to shirt since I got it. That indigo color is really vibrant under certain light and can still be very understated under others. Also, the proportions is also really strange in a good way. I feel the tapering and widening of the waist and hip areas are more dramatic than the other ironheart shirts. It's really awesome. And in fact this is one of the few denim garments that are great even without the fades! Perhaps this should be made into continuous production just like the 33. Here's a pic I posted some time ago on Instagram (actually mostly celebrating that watch, which happens to be the watch equivalent of this shirt to me)

Nice pic, gniquil, I'm thrilled for mine to show up

Just wanna show another image of this lovely shirt. (Sorry to xpost from another thread) Here's me with the new whip chord pants. I like this image as it shows how subdued this shirt can be (vs that vibrant blue in the sun, see my prev post here). And similar to the new pants, the shirt feels both relaxed and slim. Love it.

^That's a great fit! Since the last few months, I just wear the 2 copies of this shirt. Every other IH shirt is just resting in the wardrobe.
-
Both the guys had a wash cycle after repeated wear for about 2 months! Washed them inside out.

I don't think I've ever liked a shirt enough to scrub my tub to wash it
-
The fades are starting to come out strongly. Here is the result of constant cuffing and rubbing.
-
The NIN's are the only IH shirts that I wear every single day while the other ones just get work occasionally.
-
I wear mine easily 3-4 times a week, it's amazing

My favorite denim shirt in the stable!

Wearing mine too right now. Such a pleasure! Mine is not as far along as yours though @the246guy!

Please help me judge fitment of this shirt.
I got it at the local to me Kentaurus store in Cologne, and all they had left was XL, where I usually take XXL. I took the bigger of the two shirts they had in stock, and below is a picture of me after the first wash.
It's fairly tight around the shoulders, not yet to the point where it's uncomfortable. But you can see that the third button from the top is pulling ever so slightly. I have lost a fair amount of weight during the last year, so I'm surprised that such a tailored looking shirt even fits (I own the Cash III in XXXL!). But I'm kind of undecided if I should have kept looking for a XXL - which the guys at Iron Heart Hamburg still have in stock as I just found out!
