IH-777D - 17oz Duck Super Slim Tapered Cut Jeans - Brown

Yeah I have to size up with the 777 cut for sure. It works great for me though as I don't mind the waist being loose on a lower rise cut. Much more comfortable.

I just ordered a pair of these over the 888s (my fave cut so far) as the waist measurement worked better for me. will post fit photos once they arrive.

It’ll be interesting to hear how you find this cut compared to the 888. The top blocks are as different as they can be.

I picked up a pair of these in the sale, as the measurements seems like they might actually work on a 777 for me, for once.
I like the fit, purposefully sized up for the thigh. Waist has a bit of gapping, and I can always use more back rise [emoji23]. Overall, a fine experiment, and I’m glad to have another “big” pair in my rotation since the pandemic weight isn’t really going anywhere.
Kitty approved!

I like that fit @sabergirl and your pic may tip me over on my first 777. Good stuff

Echoing what everyone has said @sabergirl
I've had trouble with the back rise on the 777 also, but those look spot on. Plus the Kitty looks mighty glad you bought them.

Almost looks like an 816 fit…. great!
-
The measurements are spot on with size 38 compared to my usual 36. I know these don’t stretch as much. But the rear rise is about an inch and half shorter than my 888s-142ib. Are they basically just going to sit lower on my waist?
-
Yes, this has a lower rise compared to the 888's. From the measurements the waist is also a bit on the lower side, so sizing up is good in my opinion.
-
Picked up the 777D. I couldn’t wait for the 888D to restock. Shoulda jumped on those when I had the chance! But I’m happy with the fit on these. I sized up to a 38” from my usual 36”. Little loose in the waist, tight in the crotch but I’m cool with it.

Agreed those look good

Any thoughts on applying Smith's Leather balm on the IH patches? My 777D just came out of a wash cycle and I would like to apply some oil or fat to the patch for longevity. Smith's is the only one that I have currently with me. Is this Okay?

Anything oil/fat based will do the job.
